I will be picking up one of the new Titleist series next month to have a 2nd set---isnt that what all good WRX'ers do 😎----mot likely the T300 but will be going to a Titleist event where I get to try both those and the T200. Will be demoing with ProV and VX so will get a true since of how they sound with that ball

That is quite an equipment merry-go-round!

Why try the G410’s in the first place when you can hit that lovely 919 forged?

Anyone know how much PING will weaken the lofts by? I'm thinking about making the plunge way up to SGI G410's to see how it goes, but will definitely need to weaken the lofts on them some.

They offered Retro Specs 2 degrees weaker on all it's irons other than the 410s--according to the website, it says NA. I suppose you could ask at order time for a custom order to be bent and see what they say.

Yeah just a follow up to this. Had my rep contact PING directly and +/- 2 degrees is the most they'll do. Just in case anyone was also wondering!

Question I have for PING enthusiasts: I did their online fitting and based on my measurements it says I should be +1/2" length and color code Green (2* upright). I don't really want to play longer irons for swing weight purposes (even though I know PING could potentially adjust), but could I just account for that by going color code White 3* upright instead?

Having been through the PING Factory and watching adjust the SW for each custom order, I'd be very confident that you can maintain the SW with the extra length.
However, if you are currently playing the same length clubs as the the G410 standard length and are comfortable with that, then yes the White Color code would in essence give you the same uprightness. But hopefully someone will verify that, as math hasn't been my strong suit for quite a while....ha

At fitting I hit these an Rogue Xs. I hit the Pings better. 3rd round with the 410s tonigh, played awful for 4 holes. Decided to chill out and just try and make good contact... played out of my mind. I cant wait to get back out.

The srixon's are much smaller. Like the i210, not the G410.

I'm going to say Yes. I've never hit a iron as easy to hit as the G410's. Take that for what it's worth since I've never hit the Srixons.

I’m not an expert but I’ll repeat what the experts say: you should not order clubs based on static specs from the Ping color chart. That’s meant to be a starting point for dynamic fitting.

Came from the G's (and G2 before that) and played the 410's for a couple rounds ... They are great clubs. But I went with the 919 HM and don't regret it one bit. They are incredible clubs - better sounding, better feeling, and classier when in comes to looks. The good news is that you can't go wrong either way. Both the 410 and HM are winners, IMO. In fact, I’d say the HM are the best clubs I’ve ever had.
