I am visiting the area next week for some golf, I have couple of rounds planned with friends but I am going to add one or two more on my own. I am looking at southern dunes, we ko pa and talking stick. I have played southern dunes before and liked it but I'm tempted by the Coore-Crenshaw layouts.

Does anyone have an thoughts? Is we ko pa worth the extra money? Which course is better at talking stick?

I'm a three handicap from the UK (London and St. Andrews), I am also playing Papago and Moon Valley.

I’m playing Wekopa Saguaro Tuesday if your interested. I prefer Sauguaro over Cholla.

Hi, thanks for the invite but at this stage I’m not quite sure when I’ll be able to play. I’m viisting a friend and his family and I don’t know if they/we have plans yet. I’m hoping to play mon and/or tues but I’m not able to committ, I was planning just to book a tee time the night before.

We ko pa is quite expensive isn’t it? Do you think it’s worth the extra money over southern dunes?

Wekopa Saguaro is definitely worth it. Southern Dunes is fantastic and won't break the bank. For me, those are #1 and #1a as the best public courses in the area.

Talking Stick - either course - is so far down the list it's not worth considering.

Saguaro is definitely worth it if you have never played it.

I love Southern Dunes. Think it is probably the second best public layout in the Valley and top 10, at worst top 15 overall. I'd still recommend Sagurao 10/10 times for a visitor as I think it is the best public layout in the Valley and has beautiful vistas that are unique to the area as well. If we're talking Cholla I'd take Southern Dunes 10/10 times. Perhaps 100/100. Cholla is a terrible waste of a good site.

But not in anyone else's. Especially for visitors can't imagine recommending and I'm a C&C fan.

As a first time visitor, Talking Stick North was not nearly as memorable as WeKoPa, Troon, Verrado, Verde River, Grayhawk.

Coming from the UK you would be doing yourself a disservice not playing Wekopa Saguaro Also might want to bring your snow boots it is probably covered in snow today.

TS North is in my top ten as well. Probably top 5 as I'm a bit of a sprayer off the tee.
