I've been using one for quite a while and to me it just made the putter so darn heavy that it was hard to play with. I play my putters longer than 35" anyway so this just exaggerated the feeling. I just pulled it and it's sitting in my backup bag. We'll see if I decide to try it out again

Put a c-taper 130x in my putters for stability for years now. Works like a dream. The stability feels pretty much the same imho, but I was somewhat distracted by the look of it.

I'm due in to stability for an install in a couple of months. Speaking to them, they advise a head which I find lighter as the stability shaft will add swing weight.

I'm very sensitive to putter weight. I recently played a Scotty mil spec that was about 320 grams. I then switched to a ping anser 5 that was 365. I actually ground off about 40 grams to lighten it. Lastly i purchased an exo rossie that is 360. It came with the stability shaft. That's what i wanted, but was unaware of the weight of the shaft. I was worried about it being too heavy. I don't find it feels heavy at all. To me it just feels balanced. Maybe it's the combo of the exo and shaft but i love it. The round before i put it into play, i had 4 three putts. I've had the exo 2 weeks. Through maybe 13 to 15 rounds I've had 1.

Is it a 355 tip c-taper shaft? If so what number iron do you use?

The shaft weight and stiffness balances out the higher head weight. Lowers the “swingweight” so to speak. I put mine on a Seemore with a 400 gram head that was very heavy before and now it feels much, much lighter and very well balanced.

Has anybody tried one of the armlock versions yet? If so, what are overall thoughts. Particularly interested in the 'swingweight' feel of these, based on the last few posts

So I was emailing with them today, they said the tour version isn’t due to be released anytime soon, really just a tour proto. Also said that was slimmer with same graphics ..

Laughing at something that makes someone else more confident misses the value of confidence in putting. Great putting is vastly more about confidence than mechanics. Cheers.

Just got mine in a Bobby Grace Shilo. I can definitely say I notice a performance/outcome difference on poorly struck long putts. The ball rolls the “same” distance regardless of strike. Other than that, I like the heavy weight being dispersed across the entire length rather than all head weight. I really like it.

I got a stability shaft installed in one of my BB0s and like it quite a bit so far. The biggest difference I can tell is that the feel is much different and the stiffness of the shaft is very noticeable compared to a standard TT putter shaft. The stability shaft helps on the long putts by allowing me to take the needed more aggressive stroke and knowing exactly where the head and face angle is at the entire time.

Who did you have install? I have a bb0 as well, and looking to get a stability.

really struggling to pull the trigger on one of these, want to pick one up as it'll make a build so much easier. But at the same time, hearing that putter shafts are going to be all over the PGA show, and surely they're going to be at a much more reasonable price point

If that’s true that’s good to know. Seems a great reason to hold off in my book.

Just picked up an arm-lock length .370 tip to put in my Scotty Big Sur chest putter at 46" I'm not that tall and that length has worked well. Lucked out a bit that the arm lock length is 46" raw.
