In need of a new pair of golf zapatos now that my Ecco Biom Hybrids are almost 2 seasons in. Looking for waterproof and stylish so I can hold my own in the high rough at Torrey in the morning.

Was originally thinking the TRUE Original but then the Major dropped. I like the style but am looking to hear some feedback to justify pulling da trigger.

Loving them or just liking them? Doesn’t hurt that they come with the sweet bag!

    Cant go wrong with the Originals. I don't like that the new ones aren't zero drop.

    I've had my pair of Majors for just over 3 weeks and played a couple rounds of golf and hit balls.

    I really like them so far, and say that since one of my rounds was in rain, they held traction well and also kept my feet dry. So far I'm a huge fan and will continue to use them.

    You can almost ever go wrong with Ecco's still own pairs of them too but if you are looking to try somethings new the Major is a great choice.

    I got mine yesterday, so I haven't played in them but walked around, went to the range. They seem amazing so far. They are extremely comfortable, and the grip is extremely good, the best I've ever had by far on a spikeless shoe. If they hold up in wet conditions, as Toby said they did, then they will be exactly what I was hoping they would be.

    I just ordered a pair of the Majors. I tried the Originals and had to return them. I really wanted to like them but they just weren't for me. I will post my initial thoughts on the Majors when they get in.

    Hows the sizing? True to size? if you have had nike what do you wear in those and what did you get in the trues? thanks!

    Through multiple pairs of Trues, they've run true to size for me. I wear a 12 in Nike, but need a 12 wide. With Trues, I wear a straight 12. The Majors, like the Outsiders, are just a touch wider than a Nike shoe, but enough that they fit me well.

    I just tried on the Biom 3 BOA last week...what a great fit and feel!

    I have 2 pair of the Outsiders which I like...would prefer a bit wider like the Game Changer Hybrid.

    Thanks for the initial feedback. FWIW, True recommended I go my normal size 13 for both the Original & Major models.

    Kind of between Major (gray) and OG Premium.

    The Major looks like a nice normal, yet slightly roomier toe box. Think the Outsider has TOO much room in the to box?

    Mine came in today. I was a little nervous about these because I have large feet. Not only is it hard to find good golf shoes but some shoes just look awful in larger sizes. Thankfully, these look great. Kudos to TRUE for carrying size 14 and 15 as I ordered both to try. I walked around a bit in the house and took some swings in the garage on my mat. They are extremely comfortable. They feel so much better than the Originals did for me.. And better than the other 8 shoes that I've recently tried. My only complaint is that they arrived with a few small scuff marks on the toe box area on both shoes. These were pretty visible right away too so thats a little disappointing for $200 shoes. I had the same issue when I ordered the Originals. They also had a mark on one of the shoes.. I reached out to TRUE and sent some pictures. Their customer service has been great so far so I am expecting they will take care of it. Looking forward to getting these on the course and walking some rounds.. If only winter would go away!

    Just an update: TRUE replaced the Majors I bought that had those marks. New ones arrived yesterday (2nd day air) and look great. Customer service via that little live chat is legit. I will be purchasing the Knits next!

    There were white Majors in that thread spotlight on True. I’ll see if I can find them. I asked if anyone knew when they’d be available as they were the best looking to me.

    I emailed the other day asking when the “tuxedo” Major might be coming to retail. June or July on that colorway.

    Not sure on other colors but I did get a quick response from True if anyone wanted to ask.

    I wasn't a fan of the stiffness at the end of the toe box. I'm not sure if that would have broken in over time but it almost felt like a "steel toe" boot to me. The zero drop was interesting too. I liked the idea of the "minimalist" support but it definitely would have taken some getting used to. It felt like I had a lot of weight on my heels. Like I said, I really wanted to like them. I am huge fan of the look and the concept behind the shoe.

    Side note: I'm very particular about shoes and how they fit / feel so these might be fairly little things that someone else wouldn't have even noticed or cared about.

    That being said, the Majors are fantastic and TRUE customer service has been great too.

    No problem!

    I've only had the Majors for a week and live in Michigan so.. no outdoor golf yet! They are backed with a 2 year waterproof warranty, though.

    Played 3 rounds this weekend in my True Majors in very wet conditions pretty much the whole time. They were great. They kept my feet perfectly dry the whole time, and they were super comfortable. I think I convinced one guy that I was with to buy a pair himself. They were pretty dirty afterwards and I cleaned them up a bit after each round. They definitely don't look shiny and new now but they passed the weekend test with flying colors. Can't recommend them enough so far.

    Ok. So wore the True Major this last Saturday for 27 holes, used a cart but with cart paths only still did about 6 miles of walking.

    Here in Seattle, temperatures started in low 30s, and maybe got into high 30s by the end of my rounds. Course was fairly dry, minus a few soggy/muddy patches along the way.

    First impressions;
    • Fit was fantastic, especially considering I had to wear thick wool socks to keep my feet warm.
    • Much more "cushion" as compared to Knits. Where Knit is minimal in its support, these are like standing on a pillow.
    • Grip was exceptional (for a non-spiked shoe). Given the more robust construction, lateral movement was no issue at any point. And I had every stance covered, uphill, downhill, sidehill, etc... No slippage experienced.
    • Comfort was also tops. Again very different from the Knit, which is the only other True shoe I have worn. Lots of support around the foot, very padded feeling, but not in a way where they become bulky or combersome.
    • Course was relatively dry for Seattle, which means it is still wet. Major's did great in beading water on toe box, but truthfully will need a real wet day to test its waterproofing.

    Conclusions;
    • Superior to Knits in its waterproofing, lateral support, cushy feel on feet (if you like that)
    • For my playing, would call these a complete 3 season shoe, but not certain if it could hold up compared to a golf "boot" style for the really wet/soggy moments.

    Hope this is helpful. Will update this after walking complete 18, either carrying or push cart.

    I switched to the True Majors from the True Originals. The Majors definitely have a lot more of a cushioned feel but I can still feel the ground. They seem to have a lot better support than the Originals as well. I've played 3 rounds with them so far and they are extremely comfortable and well suited to my swing. All of this being said, I still like the Originals and well wear them at times but the Majors are my new go to shoe. I also have a pair of Knits that where as my everyday shoes. The Majors have more cushioning and feel a little more comfortable on the feet but the Knits are still more comfortable than most tennis shoes on the market. Overall, I think True Linkswear makes some great shoes.
