P790's or reshaft JPX 850 forged

My current gamers are Mizuno JPX 850 forged with c-taper 130x. I recently got fitted at Club Champion and it was close between the Mizuno 919 forged and the P790's with P790 getting the slight edge. Both clubs had the best results with KBS Tour V 110 shafts. My questions are:

1. Are the 850's and 919's close enough to just reshaft my 850's with the KBS Tour V?

2. Would I see a larger increase in foregiveness going to the 790's to be worth the cost?

Sounds like your looking for someone to validate you buying new irons. I’ll be that guy. Would you truly be happy with just a reshafting? You only live once, if you can afford it get the new irons.

I chose the 919 forged over the TM's. Also coming from 850's.

I'll be the guy on the other side to advise you not to throw money at new clubs when you've already got a great set. In your heart you know it won't..... oh no!!!! the GolfWRX mods are coming to ban me from the site! Noooooooooooooo

The tinkerer in me is wanting the P790s...Im trying to talk myself out of it but its not working. Found a set 4-pw for $675. Need to switch shafts but since the Tour V is what i am fitted to would be hard pressed to find that setup.

    I would just buy p790.

If you reshaft 850, you will regret it when things go south.

When the result is great, you will also wonder how would it go if you get the exact one from the fitting.

You already spend chunk of money on fitting.

Why would you save with the result of it?

Option 1: I could play Mizuno

Option 2: I could play something else.

I don’t think TM even offers it as a custom order shaft.

Buy the new set. 790s or the 919 forged you'll be glad you did.

They dont. They offer the Tour but not the Tour V. Ive been playing Mizuno for the last 10 years and was surprised how much i liked the 790s. I guess its time to start listing my gamers on the bst.
