    Nice Toulon Madison - you could go find one of those for a tenth of what Bettinardi charges for his old BBZero
    Though much is taken much abides;
    We are not now that strength which in old days
    Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
    One equal temper of heroic hearts,
    Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
    To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

    In the Golf Digest interview about the switch, he mentions:

    $ He picked up ball speed with new driver/ball combo, and the new ball has better greenside feel

    $ Irons were an easy switch

    $ Already had a Callaway wedge in the bag, just added a few more

    $ Had been practicing for a while with the Toulon they sent him and liked it

    It's a quick read if you wan to look it up.

    I am confused as to why he has switched out the putter, I thought Callaway let people chooses their own putter? I know Ping and now Taylormade make it a full bag deal but I always thought Callaway was more flexible

    I think the putter was one of the first things he tried out while still a free agent and made the switch before even signing a deal. So why not get paid for all 14 clubs?

    First Rose now Molinari with new manufacturer. Yet so many were saying its big mistake changing equipment.

    Testing and feedback (TrackMan etc.) nowadays means at this level a new manufacture is no big deal. The argument is no longer applicable.

    I agree, especially considering these are the best players on the planet. People let their own bias get in the way of rational thought. Bettinardi makes a nice putter but Toulon does as well. Can't go wrong with either.

    He wasn't a TM staffer if I recall, just using TM equipment. This year Callaway offered him big money to play their equipment. In golf, there's no guarantee that Molinari would ever win again. As a player (which btw these guys are technically contractors) you gotta take the money when you can get it. It's always about the money.

    Hearbreaking to see that beauty of a putter moved out for a toulon.

    As much as most Wrxers would hate to admit I guess it must be the person putting and not the putter image/pimp.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pimp:' /> Looks like the Toulon works and the high cost of a putter must not always matter image/swoon.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':swoon:' />

    Interesting that Molinari won with a Toulon Madison (plumber's neck) and the Madison is not offered in the 2019 Toulon line. I wonder if they will add the Madison back into the line now that Molinari won with one.

    I have a Garage Madison slant neck that I play from time to time. A very nice putter.

    146'9" of putts and a chip in for birdie on the 8th certainly helps! He's a gun ball striker who won't struggle with whatever you put in his hand. Hope he and Fleetwood enjoyed their trip to Disneyland together.
