Michigan Golf Trip

Trying to plan a golf trip for mid/late summer up in Michigan. Looking for at least 5 days stay and play, preferably multiple locations. Northern Michigan is the plan. Anyone got suggestions?

id end with with arcadia bluffs&south course. work your way around northern mich to forest dunes,black lake,tree tops. traverse city has some really nice courses also with great food&night life.

Might consider staying at Grand Traverse Resort as a base of operations. Hotel and Condos available. Good courses on property for stay and play. Also a number of top courses nearby. Shanty Creek. LochenHeath. Manitou Passage. Sundance (A-Ga-Ming). Arcadia Bluffs is not that far away (56 miles) and a must play IMO. In short, plenty of options to occupy 5 days. Plus TC offers a plethora of dining, entertainment options that's close to the resort (a short drive into town). Casino nearby also if that floats your boat. With only five days available, don't want to waste golf time driving around to various destinations. Plus, TC has commercial airline service if you're flying in.

Garland is another option. 4 decent courses on site.

Forest Dunes would be my first choice. Play Forest Dunes, then play The Loop in each direction.

Endless choices based on budget, you have to start with your target cost and work backwards.

I would agree with forest dunes. Play loop one way, forest dunes, loop the other way. Grand traverse resort is hard to beat though for stay and play. especially for 5 days. One other one to think about is Arcadia Bluffs. Michigans most scenic course. And they just opened up a second course down the road which is equally as awesome. You wont get bored playing them over and over.

In order to provide you suggestions, people will need more details like how many rounds, budget, how many people etc.

At least one foursome, maybe 2 if we can get it together. Would be flying in from all over, so major airport close would be preferred. Would like to keep it under $1500-$2000/head all in.

Forest Dunes is a world class course, now with a second 18 (the loop), but it's still in the middle of nowhere so not a good home base for a five day trip. I'd suggest Boyne, Shanty Creek or Grand Traverse/A-ga-ming.

Take a look at at boyne golf and there great escape package. 11 courses under their umbrella and a beautiful area! Definitely worth the money

If you don't mind driving and want some of the best golf, I would pick what you like from the following that fits your budget. If you don't want to drive I would recommend Boyne as well. Very Good Golf at a great price point.

Play Signature, Masterpiece, Premier, courses and Threetops

Drive to Forrest Dunes

Play Forrest Dunes and Loop

Drive to Arcadia - You will be driving past Kingsley Club so that could be an option as well.

Play Bluffs and South

You could always fly into Traverse City and drive towards Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands
