I would like to vent a little bit.

I find Rich Lerner entirely disgusting.

It seems to me that he only panders to the 1%.

He commented that Rory was gonna enjoy some champaign,

when Rory probably wanted a couple bongrips and a couple shots of Yaeger.

Why is he so out of touch with the common mans golf style?

I would vote to get him fired if that was an option.

The reality is different though, "Fat" Rory didn't win a major.

Glad that Rory finally got over the line. I feel that we are in a similar position to the one we were in last year after he won the API. Who didn't think then that he was about to go on a kick and have another 2014 like season?

Sincerely hoping that he does but I'm going to need to see if before I believe it.

I think this year is much different. He won Bay Hill with a streaky putter. Rory's whole game is much sharper this year and he looks more in control.

I wonder if Rahm will admit the caddie was right. He seems like the type who might actually fire the caddie over that incident. "How dare you question me on this" lol

I'm pretty sure Rahm would admit it was dumb now.

Is there video of the Webb Simpson penalty anywhere?

What did Webb get a penalty for ? I missed that

Accidentally caused his ball to move when his arm lock putter got stuck in his shirt. He's not happy, believes the rule should include intent.

Not arguing ( lol). And I didn’t see it. But I thought if it moved accidentally you replaced it ? Or did he not replace it ?

Edit. See it now. Was on the frindge. Well Webb. We can’t go rolling the ball around to get to place it on a perfect lie. Even I can see that.

bladehunter, That’s only on the green and Webb was on the fringe. If you are looking for the ball in the rough and move it, replace without penalty. But if you accidentally move the ball anywhere else, penalty.

Then weird for the Tour to snap a picture of a letter that Rory didn’t write or sign in reference to how thoughtful he is

Great to see Rory win, disappointed that Tommy Fleetwood didn't play better, but another great week for the Europeans.

Liked to see Fleetwood coming out better but what's clear is the guy needs to develop a trusty cut shot. He attacked every pin with a draw, even on #17. He's really threading it in at times with that. Great Sunday. Furyck & Rory were fantastic as were others. The course is a killer good and it rivals the majors for great theater. Dye is a genius.

I'm a fan of this tournament and always have been, the drama over the years has been really good especially in its "proper" date.

Justin Leonard has said repeatedly this past week that "Sawgrass is the greatest risk/reward golf course ever", it's a bold statement statement but it's difficult to think of others that are close in that regard.

When you hear the course analysed in detail like John Cook did this week on GC its difficult to disagree with your comment on Dye, the thinking that went into the design is truly great.

When did he switch to the TP5 from the TP5X? Not saying that the ball is all the difference, but it certainly can’t hurt. His putting certainly doesn’t seem as “bad” as last year.

Looking at the Ryder Cup flag I have signed from 2014, it looks pretty similar.

Yeah I had a look and it does appear similar to some signed memorabilia visible on Google search, his autograph has evolved over time as it's quite inconsistent. I hadn't really paid much attention to it before.

I think there should be more debate about the golden generation. The JT/JS/RF Instagram gang. All this stuff re Rory whilst the “strongest group in a generation” are all instagramming from a yacht or whatever, with Captain Ricky dressed as a pirate image/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I'm so sorry the timing of the wrx revamp was the day of the Players last round. That was such a fun tournament to watch and I always enjoy reading people's rxn's as the thing unfolds.  Can't believe Rory and Furyk were the guys at the finish line... can't think of two more opposite players.  This year, I was thinking the Players made a leap forward in terms of where it stands as a championship.

The Golf Channel was certainly happy.  At the beginning of the week, the "Live From..." guys were debated whether it was at Major.  By the end of the week, they were calling TPC Sawgrass the finest tournament course in the world with the best three finishing holes in golf. All I can say is that Rory's drive on 18 was breath-taking.
