5 Wood Shaft Suggestions

I am in search of a new shaft for my 5 wood. I'm currently gaming a 2015 Callaway Great Big Bertha 5 wood with the stock Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage 50g S flex. My driver swing speeds are +110 and I would like something that is low torque and low spin, with a low/mid launch. I also want something that is a bit heavier, maybe 70g? I am also not opposed to trying something x flex.

I would like to find something used with a Callaway tip already attached for under $100. Does anyone have any suggestions of some 1-3 year old fairway wood shafts that would be a good fit?

Not knowing your swing characteristics though is not going to allow them to help to the fullest they can. What is your tempo like? What "kinds" of shafts do you like the feel of (butt soft, butt stiff, etc), early, mid or late release of the club and so on.

Swing speed alone is not enough information to give good advice.

One thing i can guarantee is that a 50g KK shaft is too soft and too light. Even without your swing characteristics its highly unlikely that someone with a ss of 110mph will fit that shaft. Not impossible....but...unlikely.

You mention you are looking for something lower launching and heavier, likely x flex (70x)? I guess we can assume your current shaft is a bit soft to feel, maybe too light, maybe too high launching?

If that is the case...there are dozens of shafts you can get that will fit your needs. You have to try them and see what works. No golf sotres near you?

Thank y'all for your input. I completely understand that the best way to find a shaft is to go some where I can test as many options available and I will definitely do that as soon as I can. As far as shaft characteristic preferences, I really do not know as I have only every played stock shafts and am just now getting into dialing in my bag. I was recently fit for some new irons at Club Champion. Ended up going with the Callaway Apex Pro 19's with KBS C-Taper lite stiff shafts, 1/2" over standard length, and 1* upright. I'm not really sure how those irons shafts would translate into a fairway wood shaft. I plan on doing a driver fitting next to upgrade my Taylormade R11s with the stock Rip Phenom 65 gram stiff shaft but wanted to save some money upgrading my 5w shaft by experimenting on my own.

I play C taper lite in X flex hard stepped once. You probably would do well sticking with a stiff shaft in the FW wood (tipped appropriately). I have a Fuji Pro 2.0 7X in my 5 wood and love it. You could look at the origial Pro, could probably find a deal on one. Apparently the 2.0 plays about 1/2 flex firmer. You might get away with an X in the original. You should be able to find one in the price range you are looking for. Many options in the Pro line so review Fujikura's website.
