Golf Net - safest

Didn't think this fit into any of the subforums but basically, I'm interested in setting up a golf net at home and was wondering if anyone could recommend one with safety being the prime consideration.

Because I can't say I won't pop-up a ball over hundreds of shots, it'll will have to be an outdoor setup. That being the case, shanking a ball into a neighbor's window is another situation I'd like to avoid. Anyone have any net setups they think fit the bill?

How far from the net do you plan to hit? I have the Net Return Pro and Skytrak so stand pretty close to net and have no worries about hitting one over the net or shanking one.

However, if using a Trackman or Flightscope, you'll have to stand further back and in that case I would not recommend the Net Return Pro as hitting a wedge over the top of it would be a concern.

I'm starting from scratch with the setup. I didn't even realize distance from net was a thing. Looks like I'll get Skytrak then so I can stay close.

The biggest problem with your plan is the outside part. UV is going to eat any net you buy period.

If you have no option I will find the guys build that built basically a full cage then covered the whole thing for a full sim setup. Pretty neat but as I recall he is in or near San Francisco so not exactly worrying about weather.

But there are plenty of options for full cages.

That seems a contender. Is it not staked to the ground? I'm going to have to do an outdoor setup.
