as someone brought up playing blades I cant imagine I would ever use anything but blades.

Hybrids are one club that I've never gotten on with as they just don't suit my eye. I prefer to use 3, 5 woods or a 2 iron

    Ping and PXG Irons.

Cannot stand the way they look looking down at them. I own 0311 Gen 1s and they will be sold here quickly.

The offset is atrocious to me. Granted, I'm not sure what I was thinking when I bought them or what my expectations were coming from OG Nike Blades, but whoa, not good.

Callaway woods is another. I play Cobra woods and love them.

Taylormade clubs, just never liked the look/feel of them. Titleist woods just don't feel solid to me either. Also avoid any set that claims distance gains for each club when they're just changing the lofts. Last one really limits my options.

Titleist fits the #1 slot for me. They're the ultimate smoke and mirrors company as far as I'm concerned. Pretentious is another good word. Almost a cult.

PXG is another that I won't touch. Not even with a biosuit.

Less a brand for me and more a look -- can't seem to ever hit SGI very well. Started with 3-5-7-9 blade starter set and then Ping Eye2 like forever. I've played some version of a cavity back, but don't like to see any of the irons "backside" at address.

i can't stand Callaway irons, especially the 'X' design features, dating all the way back to the X22 irons. X here, X there. Make sure it looks like an X on the back. Gawd awful cavity design. Epic Rogue woods i actually liked. But the color scheme for the Epic Flash...barf. Also also...the Callaway logo and branding just has no feng shui to me. I use to be anti-Ping just because they seem to be old ****, no style clubs. But the putter, and then woods changed that for me. Still on the fence about the iblades and i210.

Ping Irons... it’s the notch in the in head. Yes I know I can’t see it at address. But I can see it in the bag and it drives me crazy.

I've always avoided Taylormade. Don't like the marketing.

Having said that... I'm not really "against" them. I want to play whatever is best for me. Don't really care what brand it is... Though Probably wouldn't by PXG cause... $300 a club? Nah...

If a Titleist iron doesn't look like a Buick or wasn't designed by Art Chou, I don't want anything to do with it.
    These are nice.

    Comparisons are odious.

Callaway. When I was young it seemed every older gentleman was putting them in there bag and making the game easier. Now that I’m older i use game improvement irons,, but still stay away from callaway

I do not have an iron brand that I won't play. I have a brand of all clubs that I only try if I find nothing else first and all things mostly equal would never play their clubs. Titleist, and it is not because of the company itself, but because of one of their "house" names that makes clubs for them. I will not go into reasons, and just say because I won't. I haven't played a Titleist club since 2001. Yes I tried them, and the closest was a set of AP2's back in 2008ish. They were close to the Bridgestone J36's and I went with Bridgestone over them.

Right. Does a prominent feature of the iron no longer exist when the club is at address?

PXG -- I would love to try them, but spending $3,400 on a set of irons only to lose 50% of their value when I inevitably put them on the BST would just be painful lol

This. I dont know why, it bugs me.

Ive never got one with the looks of Callaway stuff and in the 90/00 years a lot of taylormade products sat closed to me, so that always pushed me off that brand. The m5 does look real nice behind the ball though.
