Lamkin 2019 - What a time to be alive for wrap fans

Lamkin absolutely bringing it this year. They have a Sonar Wrap, and a Crossline Wrap! I think the Crossline wrap is gray and only available through GolfWorks.com.

What about the UTX Wrap?

I’m thinking about Lamkin on my next set (here shortly). That middle one looks nice. Reminds me of the grips on my first set EVER!

Fun fact: 50% of all grips sold by GolfWorks are wrap. :)

Interesting. Where did you hear that from? Kinda makes sense. One of the Lamkin guys said that that is GolfWorks only grip and that GolfWorks requested it. Last week I was the golf store and literally said "man I wish someone would make tour velvet wrap" and viola. That sonar looks reaaaally good though. I'd like to try out the skinny pistol and pistol sonar putter grips. I wish they made a sonar of their old wrap putter grip too.

I think the utx was the last corded wrap I knew  of. Depressing ?

I'm a littler bitter towards Lamkin these days.  I'm a long time Lamkin lover, but they keep discontinuing the grips I love.  No more REL 3Gen.   UTx is going to be only offered in one color now.  No midsize in the new Sonar Tour.   Tempted to go to the Golf Pride dark side. 

I realize these are all first world problems. 

UTx Wrap was real nice... just HEAVY if I remember correctly.. 

I’ve got the wrap plus coming my way to test. They’ll be available the first week of April.

I have about 50 utx wrap midsize left from my bulk purchase when they were discontinued. There needs to be a new full cord wrap offering from someone. I may have to stop buying clubs and shafts when my stock runs out. 

< works for the company that owns GP - but boy do I love Lamkin midsize cords. 

Bring back the midsize cord wrap!!

I'm on the hunt for my next midsize cord wrap. I've heard lots of good things about Lamkin but never got to try their cords.

You should give them a try. In my opinion, the Lamkins are a softer cord than the GP. But thats just to me, it'll be subjective.

I will give the crossline wrap a try this summer on a set of irons. It was either these or the plus4 TV's, and these just took first place based on looks.

Man the utx midsized were some goats......great grips.

Anyone with Lamkin experience/knowledge mind answering the following with regards to the i-Line grip?

- Are they a problem in wet weather? (all reviews I've read don't mention this but someone at a golf shop mentioned it to me so it gave me doubt)

- I read because they are "softer" they don't last very long? (Only saw this mentioned once online so again it gave me some doubt)

Really interested in the Sonar Tour. Like the feel of the standard Sonar but it is a little too soft for my liking. Anyone know if it is a Standard+ size like the standard grip?

Golfworks website says it is a standard taper. Really disappointed it won't be made in midsize. Not sure why Lamkin's site isn't updated with the new stuff.

The golf store nearby is selling mid-size REL ACE pulls from Cobra sets that are brand new. If you want I can find out what they want for them. They look like the stock grip.

theres a website advertising a crossline wrap plus ... reduced taper .. been backordered for awhile .. cant find it on the lamkin website. anyone got any info

just posting to get this out of my drafts...

they need to fix this feature.

It's not back ordered. It's being released later this month. It's also a GolfWorks only offering.

Both the new sonars are really good. If you can get over the squishy feels the sonar wrap is amazing. You barely have to hold onto the club. I like it better than the sonar tour I think. Still it's hard to beat the Tour Velvet. I might have to wait until I try the crossline wrap to make a decision.
