What is Golf's rank of importance in your life right now compared to other stuff?

So, whether it's playing, buying, watching, spending other time for golf purposes, where does golf rank for you in importance in your current stage of life? More than what, but less than what else? More than food but less than air? Less than family but more than your house or car? More than where you live but less than your job?

It's pretty much everything I have. Since I sold my skiff and relocated to Tallahassee anyways. When I get back to the east coast, in time I'll be purchasing another skiff and doing a little surfing again. But yeah, golf has always been there and big in my life. When I'm not working or eating out with my fiance, I'm practicing, playing, browsing, reading, watching golf.

It's right up there for me. My wife and I practice and play together, and obviously enjoy those random impulse purchases. We both enjoy it and the struggles it brings. I used to be big into off-roading, but in the last year things have tipped heavily in favor of golf. It's more accessible and peaceful. During the winters I can practice putting indoors, GC2 at my local shop, and of course tv/mags.

I'm constantly looking at equipment, watching golf, trying to practice and play but usually kids, household and job, trump golf.

Have lots of hobbies of varying degrees, but golf is my current 'outdoor' hobby and takes precedent over most other things. My wife plays as well so we both go together.

We do have our first kid coming next month so that might take some time out of golf, but not much.

Hi all, long time lurker first time poster!

At 27 years old and having a wife, 3 children, a career, and a mortgage I can honestly say golf will always be my first love, not the most important anymore, but the first one to arrive. We live in sw FL so now that the snowbirds are headed home, we can get back to normal life of 100 degree rounds at $30 a pop. My 2 year old chips back and forth with me on the carpet, it’s like he knows season is back.

And advice to any fellas a little younger than I and possess some talent at this majestic game , wait until your 40 to have kids and follow your dreams

My view important, not for competition but for camaraderie. Once a week activity to meet my old golf buds and also to remember my dad and others who passed who I shared a tee time with over the years

    1) Family - my kids are at that age where they still like me and have sports and clubs that I enjoy being a part of.
    2) Golf - this is my outlet.
    3) Exercise - now that I’m 40 it’s important to stay on top of my gym routine
    4) Work- I guess... I don’t live for it but it needs to get done

If I'm being honest, golf is pretty far down the list. The good thing is that as I get older the things on the list
in front of it are becoming less and less.

It’s up there for me. Wife and kids #1 for sure. And my job is important for a lot of reasons, but I don’t eat, sleep, breathe it like I do golf.

So considering that all of the basic needs are met such as air, food, water, shelter...#1 is wife and kids, #2 is golf, #3 is beach /travel, #4 is job...and most everything else is way down the list after that.

Golf is pretty high on my list still because I work in the business. I run a retail store half the time and I teach and do fittings the other half. If not for that, golf would be down the list some. Family and Faith are more important. Me and my wife have a 9 yr old and a 4 month old. I want to play, but being there for them overrules playing time.

    Work and paying bills
    Working on my house

My life is pretty empty really lol, small family, couple of friends. Golf is consuming most of my mental space most of the time, and now that weathers getting better Ill be back into outside projects and working on the house/yard. Me and my pal own a boat together, but since he got into golf (and i got back into it) weve taken the boat out like twice in the last 2 seasons.
