    What is the purpose of the flat cat grip on the driver? I assume only for training aid purposes?

    Thought I heard his YES! putter was damaged in Mexico and thats where the Bettinardi came from, it looks to be doing just fine!

    And agreed with above, that flatcat is bizarre.

    It's a training aid. Pete Cowan likes to use them with his students (or a 2-thumb putting grip for the same purpose) to help them feel the club face squaring up earlier. You'll see him making practice swings and getting the club to P6 making sure its square.
