Difference between SM6 and SM7

I am thinking about buying some new wedges, and I got a great deal available on some SM6 vokeys. I was recently fit for some SM7s, and I am wondering if there is a major difference between the two? The grinds I need are available for both.

I have hit both and don't see a huge difference. The high toe area of the SM7 seems to be a bit meatier. Possibly helpful on shots out of tall rough that contact the face in that area. Otherwise I don't see much difference in performance on the two with full or finese shots.

Very minimal difference. Mostly cosmetic and slight shift of the weighting to justify a new product. I love my SM7's but I mostly got them just to change out the bounce/grinds I'm playing vs my SM6's. I often play an SM6 60* and can tell no real difference. Maybe the SM7 look a bit chunkier but maybe that's cause my SM7's are raw.

Not much in it. Sm7 as others said move weight around a bit more to help hit more consistent shots. Not sure you could validate this unless you can hit same spot every single time. My dad had an sm6 58k and I have an sm7 58k. Cant tell much difference other than his slick dirty grip lol

The 54 lacks the look of the others so im looking for a 52F to bend to 54 so they all look similar!

After review at the LGS, the difference between SM6 and SM7 is negiable. But that's often the case with OEM products. They have to bring out new products. We, consumers, have to be able to ascertain if the change is cosmetic and unneeded or a substantive upgrade.

For example, there is a design difference between 917D2 and TS2, the reason TS2 now resides in my bag. My first day out with it value was justified by hitting every fairway, and I mean in the middle. Good luck. B)

What do you mean look the same?

The bounce on the 60K went up from 12 to 14

I have and play all 3 series, sm5 to sm7. The 6s and 7s are very similar. Slight difference in CG, but it is not noticeable. Your wedge of choice - Sm7 or sm6 will not have any difference in the outcome of your shot. Hope this helps.

sm6 and sm7 are very similar that I stay with sm6.

I have played both. Extremely similar. If you have found a good deal on the SM6, I would go for it. I like the SM7 (slate blue is beautiful) and now play it. I preferred the cosmetics of the SM6 but they play the same. Best full grind going to me. I use the 54F as my bunker club. Works great.

I think the difference is about $100 or so?
