Stewart Golf Trolley Cart Poorest Service Ever!

Recommended Posts

So I was in the market for a new push cart. Decided to give Stewart golf a try. I bought the RS golf cart last year because it had a cool look to it. Used it for about 10 games over the span of 4 months at the end of last year. Played our first game this past weekend and when I put the bag on the cart the leg snapped off.

So I contacted Stewart Golf and the retailer (Golf Town), The cart has a 2 year warranty. I was told I could buy a replacement part and pay to have it shipped to my house. Then I could pull the cart apart and repair the damage myself.

Needless to say, I was not impressed. Still under warranty and I have to pay for parts and shipping and conduct the repair myself. My partner had an issue with his Clickgear cart last year and GolfTown and Clicgear replaced it with no questions asked.

Goodbye Stewart golf and over to Clicgear I guess. Sharing with my GolfWRX family so you can be aware of the horrible customer support in case you were contemplating their products.oi09ot5htv43.jpeg

Why is the retailer at fault? The warranty belongs to Stewart.

As an authorized retailer, the store can honor and submit warranty claims. In a similar situation, I bought two pairs of Nike golf shoes from a local Dunhams store. Both pairs developed leaks in a very short time. Shoes were warranted waterproof for 1 year. Took one pair back to store, was treated very rudely by the manager, who adamantly parroted that ANY shoe, worn once was not returnable. Nike warrants the shoes two years after the date of manufacture, on a label, inside the tongue of the shoe. Now, the shoes I bought were two years old, and out of "warranty" when I bought them from Dunhams.

I assume Dunhams is not a Nike authorized retailer, and Nike doesn't care what happens to their shoes not wholesaled or bought from them. Poor manufacturer's warranty, when warranty period starts in China.

Both are at fault for poor customer service.

Submit is the key. Warranties are much tighter than 2-3 years ago. If the manufacturer will not suppport the claim the retailer is not going to hand over a new cart or shoes. In Canada, T. Made now requires an email, pictures of the damage and a scan of the receipt.

> Always good to share experiences with OEM customer service. I think some retailers would have made sure Stewart took better care of you. Stewart is not a cheap pushcart.

Yes agree totally. Over the past 3-4 years, I've spent well over $10,000 in clubs, equipment, accessories, balls and clothes at that store. Even if the manufacturer doesn't honor the warranty, as a retailer I would take care of the customer. I want that customer never to even think of visiting a competitor. I want them always coming back.

I'm calmed down now from earlier. It is what it is. Stewart golf said in all the years they have been making this cart, it has never broken in that spot unless it was abused. Simply placing the bag on the cart is not abuse. They have lost me as a customer forever.
