Examples of when you had the intention of buying X club but ended buying Y club

Mine was recent, walked into the shop and was dead set on the Ping G410 driver but walked out with Cobra F9.

G400 max and went with LST

2016 m1 and went m2

Really really wanted a 2016 M2 fairway...almost pressed 'checkout' but got a Rogue fairway instead and its been the best decision ever.

Expected to pickup a G410 3W, but walked away with the TS2 instead.

Went in looking to buy some AP1's, and came out with Cobra F6 irons.

Went in to buy a putter - looking specifically for a TM spider or Odyssey but left with a Bettinardi.

Went in to buy the R11s 3 wood to pair to my driver and walked out with the Callaway X2Hot Pro 3 wood and X2Hot Pro 22 degree 4 Hybrid. They only just left my bag last year.

went in thinking F9 fairways -- went out with epic flash SZ in the 3w and std epic flash in the 5w...*shrugs shoulders*

Went to demo day to buy either a rogue SZ or a G400 and left with a F8+

Taylormade M anything.

First time walked out with Titleist 915, second time walked out with Rogue.

Titleist 718 mb/cb. Went with srixon zforged

Went in to get the grip on my gap wedge replaced and walked out with a set of Mizuno 919 Tour irons. Very pleased.

I went into Club Champion expecting to get the TM M5 Driver. I have always played TM drivers. I was most happy looking down and seeing the TM driver, tested the Callaway Epic Flash SubZero, the Titleist TS2, Ping, etc. Walked out with the Titleist TS2. I couldn't believe it, but it was what worked for me.

Went in wanting Apex MBs, and thinking I should probably admit I can’t hit them and get AP2s as a reasonable alternative.

Left with Mizuno MP-18s so go figure....

Went to get fit at Club Champion for the PXG Hero discount program, walked out with Ping 400 D-3HY and Cobra Forged Tec Black Irons.

Was 100% certain I would end up with 919 Hot Metal Pros. Ended up with Apex CF19s that I didn’t even intend to hit until the fitter put one in my hand.

Getting any minor bit of club work done while you wait is dangerous... if my wife asks, getting a lie angle adjusted is very expensive, ok?

Last year. Went to a driver fitting and was looking for anything low spin. Walked away with the G400 Max. To quote myself in the fitting, “we can hit the Ping drivers but I’ve never gotten along with them.” Very eye opening fitting experience and has been an awesome club for me.

Went into a second hand shop last year thinking of a 917 D3....walked out with TM M1. 20 yards longer and straighter for me.

Went in to purchase a Bettinardi putter walked out with an Odyssey Stroke Lab V Line putter.

Went to buy a new putter grip and walked out with a red Spider Tour with sightline. I've never looked back and have never putted better. That doesn't mean I'm good, but it's the safest bet on staying power.

Went in to purchase the Callaway Apex Pros, walked out with Ping i25. Never did really love the i25s..............

Hit Ebay with my heart set on Titleist AP2 710s but kept getting outbid for weeks. Snagged a set of Mizuno MP 60s instead. Very happy.

Went in thinking 919 Tour, with intention to also compare to AP2 and Cally x forged which I did.....walked out with Wilson V6 forged.

Walked in all set to buy a Great Big Bertha and walked out with a Taylormade Bubble Burner (bubble shaft). Hated that piece of crap for ever. I think its still in the garage with the other garden tools.

Wanted a XR Pro 16 FW and walked out with a M2 16.5 HL. No regrets :)
