If you're talking about Harding on this Thursday (04-09), then you will be playing punched greens. I believe their punching them tomorrow, so its not going to be the greatest to putt on. If you don't mind driving, then Half Moon Bay is an option. Its about a 40 minute drive from Harding and Olympic. I like the Old Course, but the Ocean is fun too. The newly, Rees Jones redesigned South Course at Chuck Corica is another open. Awesome, link style course.

Cinnabar Hills (San Jose), Baylands Golf Links (Palo Alto) and Callippe Preserve (Pleasanton) are also great options. You can also play Lincoln Golf course in SF. Its not a pretty golf course, but the views are awesome.

Ideally, you'd play your round at Olympic Club and make it to Cinnabar Hills for a twilight tee time. Afterwards, make your way to Santa Cruz, which would probably be an hour drive. Play Pasatiempo Friday then hang around the Beach Boardwalk and relax. Then you're another hour away from Monterey and Poppy Hills.

I think that you missed what he said, he's staying in HMB. Cinnabar is good but I wouldn't play Baylands, after all of the rain the fairways are in bad shape and you could also take over 5 hours to finish. He also said that Pasa is getting punched so it's out this time. San Juan Oaks isn't bad and it's a Fred Couples design and neither is Carmel Valley Ranch Golf Course a Pete Dye course and the weather is usually warmer in the Valley.

Carmel Valley Ranch is a pretty good course and really fun to play. Back nine has some nice elevation changes on several holes including one hole that has a spectacular elevated tee.

Presidio in SF is a fun course, although a bit quirky but it’s way better than Lincoln park. Can you try getting on any of the other private’s in the area? Cal club and lake Merced would both be very solid options.

+1 on Corica Park, Cinnabar, Carmel valley Ranch, and San Juan oaks, those are all solid.

If you want a casual 9 at any point, Gleneagles in SF is a really cool old school muni that’s rough around the edges but with good greens and a badass little 19th hole/clubhouse.

Bayonet/blackhorse down in Monterey are also good options
