Tried to make a list, and it made the font humongous

I don't know if this is a real bug, but something about the hashtag makes fonts huge. I am going to type a list below typing "#1)" to start it. Here is what it looks like.

#1) I typed "#1)" to start this line.

2) I typed "#2)" to start this line.

Just reporting the observation, cheers.

Hashtag makes larger font in the markdown language. I’m not sure if the purpose for it, since hashtag has other uses in the social media world.

Numbered lists normally don’t have the number symbol in front of each number.

My friend, "hashtag" is a relatively new name for it. It's a "pound sign" and it has been around in the computing world (especially) via software language for MUCH longer than even "markdown" language, which predates social media usage by a fair bit itself.

It has also been called a hash symbol (as apposed to hashtag) my entire life. And I’m not young. Started programming in the 90’s so I’m familiar with its usage.

My point remains. It is being used in the markdown language, and I don’t know why.

Started programming in the mid 70s and I'd never heard it called a hash anything; only a pound sign. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Placing a space in front of line should return it to normal font.

I started programming in the 60's when it was known as a 'hatch' mark or symbol,
From the action of 'hatching out' unwanted paragraphs, diagrams etc written on old fashioned paper

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
