Finally Retired My Cleveland TA-3 Form Forged Irons

I purchased them used in 2002 and they survived until today. Took me from the high school golf team down to a 1.9 handicap a few years back. Originally had 3-PW with 6.0 Rifle shafts, but added a matching 2I, GW, and SW over the years. Never found any irons over the years that were a marked improvement for me, but the grooves were starting to get a bit sketchy and getting the set redone wasn't going to be cost-effective.

Found a great deal on a mint set of Cobra KING Forged Tour irons that I couldn't pass up that sealed the old Cleveland's fate.
Anyone else still sporting TA-3's out there?

I had them for years, loved them, they are terific irons and have a bit of a cult following. I put them down though about 25 sets ago.

Sold mine a few years back. Wish I didn’t though. Classic clubs.

I got my first set years ago, a great solid club with a simple design, sold them of course. I later got a set of TA2's which are the same club with a few slots on the top, 2 to PW, mint, sold them of course. A couple of years ago I found another set of TA2's, heads only and brand new. I shafted them played them for a while and sold them of course.
The thing is and as you say, I haven't ever really found anything which performs better. The Hogans are as good but 3 times the price. I need to find another set.
