Fairway advice (does not have to be the newest model)

Hey guys, I very rarely play my 3w, but when I do, I tend to miss mine on the toe. With my current 3w, I get severely punished on those. Can anyone recommend a 3w that may be a little more friendly on the toe side?

I just started to play a 2015 modely Callaway XR 3w. I'd say it's generally quite forgiving - certainly more so than my old original Steelhead.

Set the ball off the heel of the club and see what happens. Also the club could be too short for you.

Toe shots usually mean you’re too steep on the downswing or you’re coming out of your posture or both.

Get a 4wd and leave your friends #AMAZED

    Comparisons are odious.

The Callaway Fusion from 2-3 yrs ago is a club that I have no plans of ever getting rid of. I’ve tried to beat it with an M2, Rogue, TEE, Cobra F7/8 and none came close. Cobra LTD would be my second choice. Just a lovely head shape to me and solid club.

I was not a fan of stock shafts in Fusion. Aldila Rogue silver 70 works best for me.

I play a TEE cb pro strong 3w and a cobra f6 baffler as my 5w. Couldn't be happier. The TEE is just a monster. I like to have a good lie if I'm going at it off the deck, but the baffler is a "get-out-of-jail" club. I also use it off the tee.

Driver: Cobra F8+ with Evenflow Blue 65 6.5
3wd: TEE CB Pro 14.5 Speeder 757 stiff
    5wd: Cobra F6 Baffler set at 17.5
    3H- Ping G with Evenflow Blue 85 6.0
4 iron: G400 green dot CFS stiff, It's stamped 5 iron but power spec at 22* I use it as 4 iron
5-PW: Ping i15 green dot AWT stiff
    52/12 F: Vokey sm7 2 up
    58/12 D: Vokey sm7 2 up
    Putter: Ping Anser Milled 5
    Ball: Titleist Pro V1 X

I'm playing 2014 Big Bertha fairway woods.
They are easy to hit, low profile, and cheap.
Go somewhere and find a used one to hit.

Go out and get a Titleist 917F2 and put the weight in the toe ("fade" setting). Like you, virtually all of my misses are toe side and most fairways either lose distance, over compensate with excess draw spin, or both. I had a Ping G 14.5* that left the bag quickly because my toe misses always ended up both short and left. The 917F2 weighted this way fixed all of that. It allowed me to make the club more fade biased, and the weighing also shifts the sweetspot just slightly toward the toe side by changing the COG.

It isn't the longest on the market compared to some of the very low spin offerings out there, but it is very long in its own right. Most importantly, it is crazy consistent and accurate. Sound and feel is outstanding and it looks very minimalist behind the ball. Just love this club, and I was not bagging a fairway for 3-4 years prior to adding it to the bag.

Great off the deck and tee, and can be picked up for pennies on the dollar now with the TS2/3 being out. The TS2 is a tad longer, but you can't throw the weight out to the toe and I feel the way my 917F2 is setup it is more forgiving for my game than the TS2 anyway.
