The current pm system is very basic. Was it a feature in the previous board?

I know its basic but you could see if a message was read in the previous system.

Yes, it was. It showed the most recent date/time that the other people in the private discussion read the conversation.

Way too basic and difficult to read. The old board's PM system was "feature rich"; at least in comparison.

Just a suggestion - you might want to change the title of this thread to "PM System/Read receipts" to keep these types of responses in one place.

Last read helps a ton with BST. When you send someone an offer or your PayPal address it's nice to know of they've read your message and just didn't respond or haven't read it yet. It helps you move to the next step quicker. PMs also need a subject line. And yes, we did have that feature on the previous board.

Can't like this enough! I suggested as much in the early days after the transition. Seeing if the other user(s) in the PM conversation had actually read the message was a great help with conversations about BST or WTB postings. In addition, the subject line would also be nice to have back.

How do you send a PM in the new forum? When I hit message it seems like it’s gonna post on the other persons home page and not be “private”
