Real or Fake - Odyssey O Works Black 3T Welded Neck

I picked this O Works Black 3T up and wanted an outside opinion. I have searched for anything on this guy and have found nothing. As you will see it has a welded neck. There is no printing on the shaft or shaft band. The center well has no paint fill (I added a pin strip sticker to assist with alignment). Came with an Elite grip and magnetic head as shown. Let me know your thoughts.

It looks real to me and has a somewhat expensive japaneese grip on it! The shiny epoxy around the insert is throwing me for a loop. Curious how much you paid? I have a couple of theories????

Weird...the head appears to be bead blasted and obviously the neck was welded. The face though...that looks like they used a face from a different model and filled in the void with the black epoxy...my guess would be they ruined the original face when they did the welding. Interesting piece for sure...

The face has the mesh from the Works Versa #1 and 1w, painted black. The shape and the placement of the Odyssey swirl is a dead giveaway:

I wonder what's behind the mesh. Is it the White Hot insert that's in the Works Versa putters, or something else? It was either a full transplant of the WH insert + mesh or somebody used a spare mesh part (they fell off pretty easily) and slapped it over some other insert.

I was thinking its the rsx milled insert.

Oh yeah, good call. That has the exact same shape as the Works Versa #1 insert. I would bet it's that. And it definitely looks like it got a little warped during the welding.
