Does anyone else have issues with shadows?

I’m a mental midget and feel like I’m going crazy. Any time I can’t see my shadow when I’m swinging I make a good pass and hit good shots but when my shadow is in sight my focus gravitates forwards it and I hit some awful shots and it’s ruining my scores. Anyone else have this happen? Got any tips?

    Get external.
Focus on nature: trees, birds, clouds and little details in the grass.

I have battled this weird quirk too, mainly in seeing my shadow swing and thinking it looks funny. What I do is back away from the shot and remember the best shot that I have hit with the club I am holding, go through my routine again and remind myself that this same swing produced that shot.

    Hope that helps

Thanks, I’m going to try this out next time on the range.

Thank you, that is exactly what I’m battling. Next range session I’m going to try to park myself where my shadow will be visible and work through it

This is an issue for me sometimes tooo. I’ve learned to focus on the back of the ball. Not see the shadow. That. And I’ll take a practice swing and notice what a good position looks like in that shadow. Ordinarily I don’t really take practice swings. But taking a very slow one to the top and seeing that the shadow looks weird but that it’s correct in reality seems to free me from the bad swing that watching your shadow can cause.

I actually prefer to practice at a time of day when I can hit out of my shadow and see my turn.
