F9 5-6 Senior Fairway Wood

Just picked this up and tried it out today. I have been in need of some help on the par 5's, and the older I get the longer they get. On the second hole i mishit my drive and was out 195 to the flag. My old 5 wood was usually 185, so it would be short. I hit this like a bullet, and on the back of the green, first shot very impressed. First par 5 and I was 65 yards short of the green after my second shot, again very impressed. I am usually 130 out. Last par 5 I mishit it and it still fronted the green going through a tree! This thing is a beast! I am now destroying par 5"s and loving it. The senior shaft is very whippy, so you have been warned, but it will clobber the ball. I am definitely getting the seven wood. the club effortlessly lifts the ball off the ground, and it just goes, and for me did not balloon at all, weird. I also had to use it for a punch shot and landed it just in front of the green, perfect. This is the easiest 5 wood I have ever hit. Now I wish I had tried the F9 irons before getting the P790, oh well.

7 wood has been ordered and hope to get it in time for my sat tourny

Got a chance to hit the 7 wood and it is staying in the bag. These are amazing woods and if you struggle getting the ball in the air these will definitely help, plus they are very long.

Another vote for the 7 wood, my 3 hybrid is history. Just really easy to elevate this thing and doesn't balloon in the wind. If you're an older golfer you should try this club

Hating hybrids and struggling with a three would I bought a 7 wood.I tried to find the cobra 7 wood but the only thing I could find in the store was a taylormade heaven wood and it is very easy to launch which is what I have been looking for.

I'm a senior golfer as well and need all the help I can get, especially on line par 4's and par 5's. I purchased the F9 3-4 and 4-5 and I like them a lot. On a whim, I had some old Callaway equipment to trade-in so I decided to apply towards the purchase of the Epic Flash 3w and Heavenwood. As much as I like the F9 metal woods, I think the Epic Flash deliver more ball head speed and consequently, more distance. I think they are a little easier to launch, especially out of the thick rough. I actually think the rails on the F9's may not help that much. It just seems like I can hit down on the Epic Flash and the ball just reacts so well. It's a tough call but for now, I'm staying with the Epic Flash in the bag but will interchange once in a while just to make sure I'm not just imagining these differences.

Ok, I’ve tried this club 2x now with the Atmos blue 7r and 7s. Have the 5/6 turned to 17*. Way too spinny for me, I get very high, no roll shots.

I’ll be sticking with my Rogue 17* 4wd Atmos Blue 7TS.

I agree, I'm sticking with the Rogue fairways for now after trying most of the competition. I may get a matching 9 wood over the summer ;)

The Rogue is long, but I had a problem getting elevation when needed.

I picked up the King F8 when they went on sale.. Using the 5-6 wood as well and initially had all sorts of trouble with it in the upright (draw) setting. I flattened it out to stock and what a difference. My F8 5-6 wood and 4 hybrid have become two of my favorite clubs in the bag. I'd like to hunt down a 5 hybrid to go with them. Effortless to hit and the rails do wonders in the rough.

I have no problem elevating it as long as I remember ball position. I have a bad habit of getting the ball too far forward in my stance with my FW and hybrids.

The Rogue 5 wood feels great at impact, one of the best IMO, and it is sneaky long. I just have better results with the F9 5-6 right now.

Made a shot with the 5-6 that was very impressive. My buddy swears it is a cheater club. It's my par machine!!

I decided to add some weight to the 5 and 7 wood to see what happens, and it is very impressive. Now the 5 wood is my go to long club, and the 7 wood will extricate any ball!
