Ping Power Spec Lofts

Wondering whether or not to have my iBlades changed to power spec lofts. Anyone currently gaming power spec in iBlade or i200/210?

Yeah I have my i210’s in power spec. I struggle to keep ball flight and spin down with all clubs (always have no matter how much I try to keep it down). Power specs just make it easier for me. Still plenty of bounce. I have no regrets at all.

I play the i210 in Power Spec and love them. I previously played the P790s and went to the stock i210 and found the distance loss was just too great. Sent the clubs to PING and they bent them to Power Spec.

Perfect amount of bounce.......ball flight is perfect and dont have any ballooning issues.

I go back and forth between Mizuno and Ping when it comes to irons and today I tried the 919 Forged and I just loved the consistency on distances and their lofts were the same as the power spec. Since I need to flatten the lies anyways I figured I might take the lofts down according to the power spec numbers while I am getting that done.

Anyone added the power spec after the fact? I know it lowers the bounce.

In a land of tinkerers no one has done this?

Do you need to send them to Ping to get them changed or can any shop do it?

If you care about the warranty, you send them to Ping. If you don't care, the shop can do it.

Thanks, that was a part I was particularly curious about. I will call them on the way home.

Some of these changes are down to the 1/2 degree ... you better be pretty accurate with your irons if you think you're going to notice a difference. I mean, i'd consider when ordering, but if you already have 'em, i wouldn't worry about it.

Ping usually offers 3 loft options:

1. Stock

2. Power Spec (1-2.5 degrees stronger depending on club)

3. Retro (formerly standard club lofts)

I was told that Ping matches the bounce numbers when you power spec. It should be uniform between the three loft options, if ordered through ping.

I also had mine power spec'd due to my launch and spin being high across the board. I was hesitant because I don't like this trend of de-lofted clubs for the sake of distance, but this seemed to serve a function in my case. Brought my launch down a bit, but I still hit it pretty high. It also narrowed the gap between my 4 iron and the crossover I bought with the. Highly recommend the new crossover btw

I don't think this is correct. The following is from the i210 listing. I also think the offset increases with the Power Spec Lofts, although others have debated that before.

Have a friend that had the Ping i210 in Power Spec, and was really happy. Never complained, and really loved the irons.
