Ping 4 Series stand bag

Just a community FYI. Golfdiscount.com has the Ping 4series mascot bags in a variety of colors for $97. Thats a heck of a deal for a really good bag. Just picked up one for my daughter and son. I have no affiliation with golfdiscount.com. Just passing it along. Cheers!

Can you post pictures when you get them? I’m curious what the small pockets on the Mascot are like compared to the std 4 series.

Im pretty sure the mascot bag is a regular 4 series bag only with the Ping man mascot on the back ball pocket. Im expecting bags by this weekend. Ill grt off a pic then

Got the bag today. The mascot bag appears identical to my daughters 4 series bag minus the colors and the logo. If you still want pics Ill get them up tomorrow.

I stand corrected the small pockets are different. The navy blue bag is the mascot bag. I will say the mascot bag seems like a better arrangement in that respect

Yes that flap pocket has an insulator type lining.

How did you get the $97 price. Shows $119 when I go there...

They raised the price. They were on close out when I got that price. I have been watching to see if they go back down as Im going to pickup another one

Bringing back an old thread ... This really is a great bag, especially for the money. I'd been wanting a Ping carry bag, but the colors and designs are horrible. These are nice and simple, and the bags are really nice quality. They remind me of the Ping bags when I was in HS in the 80s/90s. Highly recommend.

What is the weight on this bag? Is it noticeably lighter than the current Hoofer?

Hard to find specs on it ... I did a head to head with my Sun Mountain Swift X, and the Ping was SLIGHTLY lighter. The Swift X has a listed weight of 3.85 pounds.

It is noticeably (to me) lighter than a Hoofer. Quite a bit more compact as well.

The Hoofer is one of the roomiest carry bags out there and therefore is necessarily not quite as light as some smaller ones. The 4-Series isn't quite as compact as a Swift-X or the older Titleist Ultralight (which was a rebadged Swift-X). But it's in that same category.

I think mine was a couple ounces over four pounds, empty, with the double straps but without the rain hood. Hoofer has to be a solid five pounds, right?

Thanks. Hoofer is right about 5lbs. For $120 this is a decent carry bag.

Ordered the black and white just like in the original post and they sent me a different bag..

Ive been using this bag for a few months now on and off, its a good bag for walking the only thing i don't really care for is the sliding straps though. I have a tough time getting them perfect with the slider between the straps. My buddy has a newer model and the straps are connected in the middle making it much easier but overall a good bag and a really good price. I got it in the green and white it looks really good.

For those of you that have bought this bag, does it have the dividers that go straight across horizontally like the last 4 series model/current hoofer lite, or are they angled like the older models? Anyone have a picture of the top of the bag they'd be willing to share?

They are straight across. I don't have a picture but just looked at both of mine in the basement.
