I've been listening to country music on and off (along with almost every other genre) since the 80s - Hank Williams, Jr., Willie, Waylon, Dwight Yoakum, Steve Earle, Jason & the Scorchers (alt country), Merle Haggard, David Allen Coe, Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, etc. I missed a lot of the early 2000s while rearing young 'uns, but have picked back up with the Mavericks, Kenney Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Chris Stapeleton, Turnpike Troubadors and too many others to mention. The country channels on Sirius radio cover the spectrum.

I was raised on 60's/70's/80's country music, but don't listen to anything modern/recent. There's still a lot of older country that has stuck with me. Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire is probably my all-time favorite country song. With that said...
