Ohio Prestwick CC (Akron Ohio)

I just joined Prestwick this year and it’s my first time joining a CC. I live 5 mins away and they are having a membership drive with a price that I couldn’t pass up. It is not the nicest place in the world, but they are under new ownership and making improvements which is why i joined. Anyone else a member here ?

I was looking into Congress lake in Hartville which looks amazing and may try to join in the future, but it is pretty pricey.

Would like to find a nice club for around $300 a month with a nice practice area in the Akron/Canton area but seems the options are limited.

Unfortunately it seems like Prestwick has gone pretty downhill over the years.. Could be a really nice course.. Did Green take over Prestwick as well when they took over Raintree?

They have already started making improvements and going to add Toptracer to the range. Filling all the bunkers with new sand and I’m hoping it’s going to get better.

That's absolutely awesome to see.. I didn't realize dipietro picked it up kinda sad to see the plans are to go back to full private but I guess two years is enough time open to the public to see the improvement and decide.. With how Skyland has improved that gives a lot of hope for Prestwick.. I haven't played there in two or three years but was severely disappointed in it when I did play it our league was at Raintree and our outing was at Prestwick and wasn't worth the 60$ we paid for beer and the round and I'd only heard it had gotten worse

I played a few years back and wasn’t impressed but the shape of the course at all. It is a nice layout and has so much potential. When I read about new ownership and the improvements I thought i would take a chance for the price. Plus I love that i can just go to the range everyday and hit as many balls as I want.

If you don't mind me asking what are they charging right now?

$99 a month. Then there is a one time fee for the range, locker room, handicap ect.

Unlimited greens fees, pool access, restaurant, and driving range
