Denver Young Professional in need of Golf Home

I've lived and worked in Denver for going on 5 years now. In that time my golf life has decimated due to work and no real economic options for consistent play and practice that aren't 1 hr commutes. My wife and I are looking to buy a home and I'm prying and plotting to find a location near a decent course with reasonable membership options. After some brief but effort-ed research I'm now questioning if they exist. I just need a decent practice facility and a monthly bill less than $500. Maybe I'm just SOL but thought maybe there's a community out there that I've not heard of.

You don't state where you live or where you plan on moving to.

Standard response is Blackstone/Black Bear under Club Corp. That should be pretty well under $500/month.

I also believe Meridian Golf Club has dues under $500/month. It also has one of the nicest practice facilities in the southern suburbs. The problem is that you're literally only paying for golf since there are no other club amenities besides a clubhouse.

I'm pretty sure there are quite a few options up north, but I'm not familiar with them.

I could never play enough golf to justify a membership, so I buy a range card at Family Sports (probably will move over to Lone Tree once I empty the last $50-ish), and play in my traveling golf league.

Very helpful. Currently live in the Wash Park area. We're looking into Englewood and Glendale. I'll be checking out this Meridian Golf Club for sure.

Near the areas you are considering I’d look at Inverness Golf Club in the tech center. Decent semi-private option with some included perks in the attached Hilton property. Also, Broken Tee has membership options as a public course. 18 hole course and a par 3 with a solid practice area.

Pradera/Pinery could be an option. Cheap initiation and monthly fees around $500. Great courses and food, but crappy pros at Pradera. Pinery is run better.
