I've hit both. Between those two, I'd keep the Miura. They look much better on topline and are very sleek.

That being said, if your priority is soft feel, neither is the softest iron I've ever hit. The Miura feel a little firm to me. The MP-18 feel a bit softer to me, but not as soft as the MP-4s, which can be had for a song nowadays. But, I'm biased. : )

If you like soft feeling irons, the best I've hit on current production are the Callaway Apex MB. The MP-4s are neck and neck. Also really close are the old Hogan Redlines. I picked up a set for about $60 this year, and I'm shocked by how much they resemble the Callaway Apex MB on feel and head design. Seems like Callaway are putting the old Hogan R&D to good use. : )

I just sold my MP18 MB’s after building a CB57 / MB001 combo set. The Miura’s aren’t bitter sold but neither are the MP18’s. The Miura’s feel very solid and satisfying. I think Mizuno is trying to get that dense feeling with their high density forging. Was very happy with the MP18’s but I like the sole grind on the Miura’s better. Hard to beat the value of the Mizuno’s considering the lack of an upcharge for shafts and grips

I was on the the fence between the 18 vs 001, mainly because it was a big commitment; I have commitment issues.

I went with the 18s because of the tremendous value and buying experience.

Really it comes down to looks and address. The Miuras have elegant shaping and a thin top vs 18s being more boxy.

Both frame the ball well.

Miuras will be here tomorrow, MP18s were back-ordered so I won't have them until next week. I don't need two MORE sets of irons, I have AP2 that I am getting re-shafted with graphite for winter, and a few other old gems laying around. I had a set of 790s but I could not stand looking down at them, from the jacked lofts to the thick topline. Plan is to keep either the MBs or the MPs and sell the other. I am a little concerned about turf interaction, I am a bit of a digger

You should do well. I make monstrous divots on well struck shots.

I never really understood when guys say they are more of a sweeper?

I have both in the bag. MP-18 7-P, and MB 001 4-6. Part of my ongoing experiment(tried the Tournament blades, then the old baby blades and not the MB -001), I know it is crazy but I am trying to build a complete Miura combo(MB 001/MC 501) set.

Different feel, Mizuno with the softer feel and the Miura with the denser erotic feel. I can say the Miura demands more out of me, but very rewarding when pured. Since I went with my current setup, hitting the Mizunos have become much easier

Chip Usher at Usher Golf, he has CB57 and MB001s in stock for a lot less money because they are "old" versions. I play golf for the experience, not the score at the end of the day. If I mishit a blade, too damn bad, that is on me  It is about what I am looking down at and if I do my part (was scratch as a HS player, took a long time off, coming back I am about a ten I think, don't care too much). A buddy told me, "you don't care about performance of your irons, which isn't a bad thing."

I feel like the Miura's will be cooler for longer so I'd go with those. Probably wouldn't primarily game either but Miura's would be more of a head turner on "blade day". Mizuno's are awesome but seems like their product cycles are shorter than Miura's so the special factor may just wear out a bit quicker.

Must be a tough predicament to be in! ;)

Hey man you really should get full sets in both. The MB001 excel (and I mean A+) 7-P. You really are missing out. I know that’s $800, but wow. Mine are soooo amazing. I just stare at the shots with amazement still.

I know what you mean, I won't be surprised if that happens in the near future.

I have 3 sets of MP32. They are the only set I've ever played save for a month here and there for random stuff. They now sit in my closet as I play 785s.

Srixons are butter however they are extremely low spin compared to others. Loved the turf interaction but sold the 765 right away as they just did not hold the way I like.

I call BS. I’ve literally hit every major brand of blades in 2017 and 2018, 18MB are far from harsh on the brand spectrum.

If anything, I would complain that they are marshmallow at times.

Muira are a solid densely feel.

You definitely are mishitting.
