Put a heavy bookbag on!

Randomly I had a bookbag on last night traveling from point A to point B.

And I was practicing my swing because well I’m a WRXer.

And the heavy bookbag on the back really helps one feel certain things in the swing.

Try it out!

With a heavy book bag, the lawnmower start, and motorcycle move combined, you will swing it like Brooks Koepka, no doubt in my mind.

Back-pack or over one shoulder?

Standing at the urinal is a great place to check your stance, alignment and grip. Try it out.

Did you two strap it, or one?

Pack yours with Callaway swing weights. Never TM because they break too often.

Was thinking maybe wider stance for more stability. Or wait till Friday when he has less homework.

Might be good to try a counter height bar stool with a spinning seat in conjunction with the book bag method. Stand over the barstool to get proper stance width. Going back squeeze it a bit and make sure you are turning the seat, in transition sit on the seat and spin hard, at p6 stand up off the stool while still trying to spin it

He should try it with cowboy boots on. The heels will move his weight to his toes and perfect balance will be achieved.

SKLZ had a weighted shaft sleeve; and a weighted sports training vest, so weighting is not new. It would be possible to make an improper turn with a weighted vest, or backpack, but additional weighting may help find more efficient ways I would think.

Good call, I have seen a lot on that weighted vest. It helps you explode through the ball on the “jump” portion of the swing.

Momentus has a vest too, seems very backpackish in idea and training to me. I don't jump, do you? I can jump, but choose to leave that activity to rabbits, beans, and bail.

The jump vest is in a lot of very serious fitness programs for golf. Laugh all you want.

I think CrossFit use them a lot also.

Not that I condone CrossFit. I think it goes too far.

Everyone jumps to some degree in the driver swing. Watch the pros in slow motion in the down swing . Justin Thomas especially.

We can all benefit from this, although it is an advanced exercise that a person should be in good shape to do.
