Ping G400 Hybrid .395 Tip - Ferrule needed

The Ping G400 Hybrids use a .395 Tip shaft which is problematic for easy shaft replacement but there are options to utilize aftermarket

shafts. My situation is that I picked up a new G400 Hybrid from another member with a Regular shaft knowing it would be too soft for me and was able to find a new pull for $ 20 bucks on eBay. I pulled the shaft and apparently Ping does some shimming and may use a special .395 Collared Ferrule. I find myself in need of a .395 Ferrule to finish the shaft swap. Thanks for any help

Fie those that would want to use a .355 or .370 shaft this is helpful.

I reshafted a ping G400 hybrid. You just need some glass beads in with the epoxy and the proper fitting ferrule and it's good to go. I let the head sit on the shaft vertically over night taped in place centered as best I could. Worked out fine.

Any clue where I can get a Ferrule that fits the Ping Alta shaft that's used in the Ping G400 Hybrid ?

I'd question whether it really is .395 at the tip or base of the hosel. Ping has always used a very non-standard tapered hosel bore (technically .355 tp) which is quite wide at the top of the hosel (yes, even as wide as .395") and required some shimming or custom tip shaping (for graphite) as well as collared ferrules to help center properly.

Regardless, you could try cellparts to see if they have anything like that but I think you're best bet will likely be to use a round file to widen the ID of a .370 ferrule.

I reshafted a G400 hybrid and didn't even notice the larger ferrule size. I guess because I just replaced the stock shaft with an aftermarket standard .370 hybrid shaft. Its been a while ago, but I don't recall the .370 shaft having an abnormal amount of wiggle room in the hosel. I just used a standard .370 ferrule.

I think Billy bob is using universal Ferrule..

This is a tricky deal because I'm not using an Aftermarket shaft and according to Billy Bob Ping does use a proprietary shaft .395 diameter. I'm

trying to just put a Stock Alta .395 shaft back in and what I believe I need is a collard .395 ferrule.

This is for reshafting with an Aftermarket .370 shaft

I used a standard wood ferrule (short one) and I bored out the center of it with a drill bit until it fit.
