What's up with Cut Golf?

2over

Recommended Posts

I read the reviews like lots of other of the Cut Blue golf ball from TXG. I decided to order a trial sleeve--over two months ago! Got lots of excuses why they were out of stock. Then messages two weeks ago they'd ship May 5. Haven't seen any. Pinged customer service and got this:

"We apologize for the wait time on your order. There was an unexpected delay in transit from the factory, and your balls will be shipping early next week. We appreciate your support of Cut Golf, please let me know if there is anything else I can do to further assist you."

Well, you could send me the golf balls at the time promised. What is up with these guys? I've not heard of anyone else getting shipments stuck in harbor, "transit delays". It's like the new Ksig--great ball that no one can actually buy for the stated low, low price. Something "scammy" about the company I'm starting to feel... Anyone have similar experiences or some positives to encourage us to wait it out?

Companies that own their own factories have shipping and logistics issues, companies that outsource to a vendor have an even bigger issue with this. Getting product held up in customs usually near shenzhen and hong kong has always been an issue, it's sometimes a coin flip and requires "someone going down to the authority with a few extra rmb". Especially right now with the trade wars, things are getting a little weird.

This is why I personally hate not having control of my manufacturing, only takes a couple of incidents for a company to get a bad rep.

Same here, after a month, I called and cancelled the 2 dozen I ordered. Customer service didn't even seem interested to know why I was cancelling.

> Played with the sleeve of CutBlue today. Not bad for the price. The balls held up. I noticed no excessive wear and tear that has been reported on the review sites like ****. However, I didn't hit any out of the sand today and that is a point that will really tear a ball up.

I played three rounds with the Cut Blue and find that they do scuff out of the bunker. My rounds were two nine-holes and a full 18. Shot 32, 36 on separate days recently and then 72 today. I shied away from trying them because of the My Golf Lies review. Starting to believe they are full of **** and frankly going to ignore them going forward. Good ball that shows a little more wear than other balls. No raised seams or crazy offline shots, etc.

I used to frequent that site but no more. They are so full of garbage with their Evnroll reviews and pushing of the product. The guy who started My Golf Lies has known Guerin Rife since he was a child. Admits as much in an interview with the guy but never gives a disclaimer on their putter reviews. . They push those putters too like their lives depend on it.

Same guy also likes to degrade the average golfer every video they make. Every video he says, "Boggles my mind how stupid golfers don't get fit for putters and use technology etc...." Guy is a real jag off.

CutBlue is living off the good Golf Digest reviews but as more and more people deal with the company I don't think they will be around for very long. Took me forever to get just a sleeve to try. Every time I inquired about shipping I got an excuse about their suppliers and whatnot.

That is truly dreadful. Looks like my dog has chewed it.

I wouldn't waste my money. I bought one dozen to try out. Had a brand new ball in play. One driver, one short iron and it was already showing signs of wear. I switched to a new ball next hole. Driver then SW. Ball was peeling. I put the rest in my shag bag.

Turns out CutBlue balls are made from a company called Foremostgolf. Asia company that makes balls for the small companies. Snell, CutBlue, etc... One of the small companies bought out months and months worth of factory space cranking out the balls and CutBlue was left with their pants down. Generally all these companies are getting the same or very similar ball from Foremostgolf and stamping their name on it.

Another reason I won't use anything but Titlist. Thousands of ball patents and, most importantly, made in the USA. Everything else is a sham.

Your info is good but not good enough. Please do thorough research b4 making a statement. I m not defending cut ball. No doubt Titleist produces quality balls but some other companies go through due diligence like Titleist.

There are a group of companies that get their balls from Foremost but @"Snell Golf" is not one of those companies.

I placed an order back on May 24th and still no balls. However, they did respond the first time. But so far not to my refund request. I wish I would have read this forum before ordering. What is deceptive, is I did not see anything about the ball being out of stock when ordering. They sure do seem to be having a good time on social media though.
