Super Stroke 50% off Golfwrx grip deal? What exactly happened?

So just got a cancellation on my grip order and the main thread is gone/in a test forum/no permissions. Its very shady that its gone without any explanation from either SS or WRX. Anyone else get their orders canceled?

I never got the order placed. Everything was always sold out when I tried. Guess I am glad I missed this deal.

The superstroke golf website is being redirected to suspicious websites... something definitely happened.

Everything was sold out on the day this came out so I was never able to order anything. Sold out on pre-order makes no sense at all so this was probably one big mistake.

Maybe the mods can let us know what really went down.

Do you have an order number? I would call customer service. I just called them regarding my order right now and she confirmed my order was placed.

Everything going to voicemail. Did they say when yours might ship shinners ?

The interesting thing is that I reached out to both SuperStroke and GolfWRX on Wed because SuperStroke posted on Facebook about a promo on GolfWRX. I haven't gotten a response. I'm wondering if they jumped the gun on the promo and/or it wasn't rolled out properly.

Just following up..called Friday and no answer just VM.

SuperStroke will not answer any calls or emails. They have taken my money and won’t respond. This is inexcusable shadiness. No response from Admin?

That’s why I started this thread....been here almost 15 years and never seen something promoted and then just attempted to be hidden without ANY information. All the while our funds were taken. Regardless of the cost or a refund eventually occurring some information should be shared either by WRX or SS.

It was a preorder anyways so the excuse can’t be “wasn’t sold up the chain” there was a damn direct link to SS to check out etc. Cant get that far without power that be buying off.

Man, I sure hope that isn't the case. This place has been special and it would be a travesty if simple site overhaul led to its downfall. I can't deny the detrimental changes across the board, however... DoND almost never has an actual deal thread, BST is a shade of its former self, issues like the subject of this thread... It's really sad and I hope "they" can right the ship soon. Still, even if they do, it may be a year until things are back to what they were prior to the "update."

There was another place that was pretty big before WRX and it went the way of myspace. Golf nerds will always find a place to geek out, it's up to WRX if we'll keep doing it here, or someplace else where people seem more willing to listen.

To follow up. I did get an email today stating 1-2 weeks before they would be shipped. They are waiting on a shipment.....?????

They did not give me a time frame of when they would ship out the grips. I checked my bank statement and they did take my money. Maybe they didn't cap the promotion code and there were more orders than what they had in stock.

they should put an announcement if that's the case. Not just pull out and make everything disappear like nothing ever happened.

Just got an email saying order has shipped with ups tracking number. Hopefully everybody gets what they ordered

Same here got email saying order has shipped after I talked with them and was told the cancelled my order so there is still hope for others that they get their grips

I ordered 13 standard size and received them today. They look like good quality grips and feel pretty tacky. Look forward to re-gripping my wedges for now and see how they feel. Really do wish there was more info on what happened with the original post.

yes Ryan from Superstroke did reach out with a message and promo code for 50% off.. but I went to went to their site, it's still showing the same thing, out of stock for all Traxion models and colors. I replied the message saying that it would really help if they could come out and put forward some information as to what went wrong, not just "unforeseen difficulties".

Thanks, SS! I used the code over the weekend to order a black/white XTraxion Pistol GT 2.0 and received it today. The 1.0 was out of stock but I'm glad I guessed right on the size anyway. The 2.0 is perfect, same size as my Flatso 1.0.

First time feeling the new XTraxion in my hands and it's SUPER sticky. Smells minty fresh too!

I wanted to update this from my end....

When I started this thread I was curious answers on what happened as it was outside of the norm in all my time here to have a thread/deal just vanish. Ryan from SS messaged me about a week later and apologized for the issues, stating they sold out/oversold and offered me a 50% off coupon to use on anything on their site. I thought this was generous and thanked him etc. Two days later I got another message out of the blue and he let me know that he would like to send me a full set of the Traxion Tour grips ON THEIR DIME. Completely unexpected and most certainly not the reason I started this thread, but after some emails back and forth we decided on the model and that they would ship once in stock. Late last week I received the following!

The grips themselves are really nice and I'm going to start with putting one on my G400 and G410 woods and see how they do especially with some build up etc. I'd like to thank Ryan and SS for hooking it up!!!
