The tournament returns to its traditional home with the famous par 3 16th known as Himmerland Hill after its year at Silkeborg, the home course of Thomas Bjorn. No Julian Suri, as a recent winner I thought he might have been in the field, won the last staging at Himmerland.

Unsurprisingly Matt Wallace is favourite with the bookmakers.

Paul Dunne tied at the top @ -4 with Matt Wallace, Lucas Bjerregaard and Sam Horsfield 1 back.

Beef now out in front at -5, he could do with a good week.

Recently he's had a few good starts and faded.

Edit: scoreboard correction Beef never got to -5, currently T4 at -4.

Decent looking leaderboard so far that is for sure. With the schedule changes, seems like this has got a worse slot than it has had in the past but if the bigger names that are there can stick up the leaderboard it should be a good watch over the weekend.

I thought that too but the SoF has been steadily increasing in the last few years. 2016 looks to be a blip in the sense it was the last ET event before the Ryder Cup (if I'm not mistaken) and got an unusually strong field.

For anyone interested in these kind of things. Gareth Lord, former Stenson caddy, is now Thorbjorn Olesen's new full-time caddy.

I noticed him on the bag last week at the PGA but wasn't aware it was permanent until I've heard it confirmed this week.

Favorite shot so far was yesterday along the fence with the gallery of ? cows. They were so curious , but yet somehow 10x more courteous than the fans at Bethpage. Go cows !

Bobby MacIntyre of Scotland has posted two good rounds following on from his strong finish at the British Masters.

Two things of note. Beef walking though the beer tent. Only on the ET do you have a dedicated beer tent for a golfer to walk through high fiving fans.

Unless my ears deceive me we have Sam Torrence on the Sky commentary. Absolutely class, I love me a bit of straight talking Sam.

Yes, I believe he does a lot of the European Tour productions which also includes Dominik Holyer formerly of Sky Sports.

Beef loved the beer tent hole. Nice to have him on the right side of the pond where he belongs. The southern scandinavians are a merry lot. Incomprehensible, but affable. You would never see something the himmerland hill further north. Or the beer tent. When they speak english, I love them.

Nice course, especially the finishing holes. Tough, windy conditions expected for the weekend.

Sky and Euro Tour productions have joined forces this year. The feed before was the same but with different commentators, that variable has now been removed which is why we have even heard the likes of Dougie Donnelly which is always a good thing!

I thought that was the case but didn't know for sure. Sky seemed to be spreading itself thin across PGA Tour and ET plus European Tour Productions provide for NBC/Golf Channel whose parent company now own Sky.

Looks like a great and fun event.

Karlsson is turning 50 this year and looks great for his age.

Beautiful course. Put it on my Scandanavia bucket list right after checkin out Floki in Kattegat.

Scottish golf is desperate for winners so lets hope Bobby MacIntyre has a good day tomorrow.

It would be great to see Wiesberger win after coming back from a wrist injury.

He was a consistent world top 50 player!

What a fun and exciting event. That tee shot on 17 followed by what happened on 18 made for some excitement.

In other news, a beer tent and I heard not even one person get out of line. Maybe Bethpage should ask for some advice.

I think he has a very bright future. That was quite a performance.

The final round was an excellent spectacle, good win for Wiesberger and MacIntyre has really shown he has the game to compete (win).

MacIntyre has progressed fairly quickly in the professional game since his Walker Cup appearance in 2017, impressive.
