Bryson DeChambeau changes to Cobra King Forged MB irons - May 2019

Think Bryson will have a big year.

Did he also put an odyssey Exo putter in the bag? I thought I might have seen him practice with one.

They are single length. They are just not sitting in the bag even and the angle of the picture makes them look different. Look at how upright they are!

Bryson changed his putter too. Now has an arm lock, exo seven plumber neck.

Anyone know when he made that change?

Hollow then? The muscle does look wider than the standard MB's.

Guess it’s time to go back to the eye doctor...

so these are custom MB heads with totally different weight makeup to normal ones, wonder why he moved to MBs though......

Yeah, they look thicker than the original MB's. Maybe they are forging some hollow body irons, would allow for the weighting etc. for one length.. Caveat - I am not a chef, so I really have no clue as to what is going on..

I dont see S400 shafts.. where are you seeing those.. pretty sure he is still in X-7s?

These already exist. They are just bent extremely upright and swing weight to be single length.

That really is very interesting thanks for posting.

The article that QuigleyDU posted is really very interesting.

1 Those wedges are too danng long. So now it's the bounce OK fine BD is on something I don't understand which is fine. But I still don't get what exactly he'd lose by shorting up the lengths?

Maybe the move for him would be to get some custom grooves machined out of titanium or carbide or something softer to lessen his spin? And why isn't he putting a similar amount of time into ball testing as that would seem to effect spin too and possibly easier.

As far as the LTD driver makes good sense, but the bulge and roll... I'm not smart enough to understand nearly any of the factors in play for him here.

I might add though if he doesn't like his driver nor his wedges thats 2:3 of the most important clubs and ought to be considered.

Always fun to follow an innovator though.
