I'm buying new driver. Is it worth the extra coin for the G410 LST vs G400 LST?

I can still customize the G400 LST and basically save $200, but if there are notable improvements, I'll gladly pony up. Have hit both, not on LM, and couldn't tell much of a difference. Thanks in advance.

And I could probably benefit from that flatter lie setting as my dreaded miss is the low duck hook. Damn! I’d forgotten about that new option.

I played a little with the sliding weight into fade bias and really couldn’t tell much of a difference. I guess if I paired the weight in fade with the flatter lie on the G410, it could improve that left miss considerably

I ordered a 410 LST. Thanks for the comments. We shall see. I paired the 9 degree head with an EF Black 65 in 6.5 flex. Hope my 105 ss can keep it in the air. Looking to lower ball flight/spin.

Interested to hear your thoughts on the 410 vs your current F8+.. I find the F8+ provides incredible ball speed off the center hits.. Its way longer than anything I have hit with dispersion at the llow end when compared to my last years M4 gamer. That being said i have heard nothing but good things about the g400/410 so Im curious

It's a really good driver. The smart decision would've been to buy a lower launching shaft to pair with it, aka EF Black. I LOVE the EF Blue, but it launches/spins too much. I'm deadly accurate with it (relative to my history of wayward tee shots), but I get zero roll, balloons in wind. If there is a tail wind, it's a bomber.

I don't think its worth it over the G30.

I love the stock shaft in the G30 so every time a new Ping head comes out I test it. I hit the G the furthest, its about 1.3 yards longer than the G30. The G410 (the latest one) was .6 yards shorter than the G30. All on the same shaft, over three sessions, significant number of swings. Now, you screw another shaft in there that I haven't used for five consecutive years or so and all bets are off between the heads. But with the shaft "factored out", they're the same.

IMO, IMO, IMO.

So I am playing a 76 gram Hzrdus yellow in mine and it rocks.. I never thought in my life i would like a counter balanced shaft but at 44.5 inches D2.5 swing weight it gives me everything I need.. But, Im a hoe and wana try stuff..

I ordered the 410 LST as I can flatten, I can add more loft and I can toe weight

PS I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the 400LST in my sig. STRAIGHT, anti hook. Would like it a little higher for wet days and courses with lots of treelined doglegs

I haven’t hit the 410LST but I just picked up a 400LST and I was blown away after my first round with it. I only missed one fairway on a fairy tight course and I didn’t even use the driver off the tee on that hole. I’ve tried many new drivers but this one is different. It’s long and straight but to me the feel is what makes it stand out from the rest.

I picked up 2-3 mph with the 410 over the 400. Not apples to apples as it was a Diamana BF in the 400 and Tensei (non pro) Orange in the 410. Like the ability to adjust the lie angle flat without changing loft whereas with the 400 you have to adjust loft to the small plus or small minus to adjust the lie angle flat. I think the 410 feels and sounds a little better, as well. Not sure thats worth $350ish after a trade-in but those were my findings.

Sad to say I cheated over the weekend.. Picked up a 400 LST on the BST and played it yesterday.. I popped a Kuro Kage Silver 60 shaft in.. Well all I can say is I realize what the hype is all about now.. Im going to go back to back with my gamer and try to do it with the same shafts as well.. But as of now, in the honey moon period it just flat out performs

I traded up from the G400LST to the G410LST, and could not be happier. The G400LST is really good, however, the G410LST, on the course, certainly sounds better and feels better. Distance wise, I hit the G410LST, 5-10 yards farther on average. If money is tight, by all means...can't go wrong with the G400LST, but in my case, the money was worth the upgrade. I am 61 years old, my best distance with the G400LST is about 230 yards. I had two truly outstanding drives this weekend, one was 243 yards, the other was 251 yards. My other drives ranged from 220-238 yards. I hit 9 out of 14 fairways and was consistently better than before. I can't wait to get out there again! I have the whole G410 line in my bag, the irons and hybrids are also better than the G400 line. Very Happy!

I have the same going on. F9 w Atmos Black 6x and G400 LST w KK 60x back and forth every week in my bag. The guys at the course think I’m a nutcase. I’d be hard pressed to pop money down on a 410 but would love to hit side by side.

So I went back to my F8+ the way its setup is just more consistent with me with a Hzrdus yellow... I'm sure if I popped the yellow in the LST it would be just as good.. But my misses with Kuro were pretty big which is a shame because the shaft and head felt great

Depends on what you consider notable. I think I could squeeze maybe 5 more yards on the monitor with the 410 over the 400 and, if I felt I was always getting that result, I might spring another $200 for it.

At the moment though, I feel really locked in with my G400 LST that it would take at least another 10 yards, with the same forgiveness, for me to think about something else.

For me it was worth it because I utilize the flat hosel setting and toe weight port.
