Is the Evenflow Black Shaft Almost Identical to the Tour AD 6 Orange?

The Titleist Fitter today I fell in love with the Tour AD 6 Orange then he had me hit the Evenflow Black and said it was identical just cheaper can anybody else concur what he is saying?

Funny enough i hit the Tour AD consistently 3-4 yards farther then the evenflow.

Did they have the same feel for you? Do you know what your ball speed, launch, and spin numbers were with both? I ask because I have the DI-6 and it felt very similar to the EF Blue for me. Difference was a little less ball speed and about 300 extra rpm of spin. My guess with the black is that you may have launched it a bit lower...

They actually are very similar, yes. They behave a little differently in the tip section with the EF Black getting firmer a bit earlier and flattening out whereas the AD-DI gets softer and firms up more quickly. This would likely mean that a late release/aggressive swinging player *might* notice a little more kick in the AD-DI, but otherwise the shafts are almost the same.

I felt the AD 6 to be more stable for my swing. I could go at it as hard as i want and it did not go left. I Have a very consistent swing and the Evenflow was 4-7 yards shorter on every single drive

My driver i was hitting is the Cobra F8+ 8.5 Degree with a Matrix Red Tie. I hit it every time 280-285 and hit about 9/10 fairways. Spin though always 3000-3100 i hit a normal high draw when i fade the ball its about 275 around 3800 rpm

TS3 8.5 Evenflow was 285-297 rpm 2600-2700 fade was about 285 spin only 3000 or so.

TS3 8.5 Tour AD 295-303 rpm 2100 consistent fade this is what i really like launch angle was 2 degree higher but spin was only 2300 i hit a couple high fades that carried 299 i hit one drive 313. For me it was the feel and confidence in the Tour AD my 313 drive the swing speed was 117. My cobra and the other shafts swing speed was 114 average. I just had so much confidence with the Tour AD.

I wouldn't say so. I've owned the Evenflow Black and the AD DI (both driver length) and they felt completely different. Perhaps bend profiles are similar? But to me they felt very different.

Get the Tour AD. In a year or 2 the EF will be just a memory. There is a reason the AD orange is still played by so many.

I’ve hit both, and the AD DI is a much better feeling shaft to me. With the EF black, I don’t feel like I have any sense of where the clubhead is throughout the swing.
