Favorite CT public tracks

I was wondering what are some of people’s favorite public tracks around CT? How about best conditions as of late?

Connecticut National. Great layout, low price and they let me walk on a weekend morning. Hard to beat that combo.

Keney park- greens are very undulating and quick.. conditions are very good

Lake of Isles: extremely good conditions..greens are rolling fairly quick and very true

Blackledge CC/ Anderson Glen- decent condition.. average green speed

Quarry Ridge..not good at all

Tashua Knolls. Solid all around

Twin Hills.. greens are okay but the fairways are looking pretty banged up

CT National and Wintonbury Hills are both excellent. Heard good things about Fox Hopyard as well

I played Whitney Farms two weeks ago and it was in good shape. Some really rough pin placements but the track itself was well kept!

Love CT Nat. Great/fun course and probably the best value in CT. A little out of the way for most, though.

LOI really is in great shape this year. I think they have been doing a lot of work to get conditions back to where they were the first several years after they opened. I've heard a lot of disappointed reviews considering the price the last 5 years or so, especially about the condition of the greens. Played the South, it was immaculate.

I played the south course as well last year, and I thought everything about it was in great shape. I can imagine some short hitters could suffer from a lot of forced carries if playing from the backs, but that's not a complaint about the course!

Any love for Richter Park up in Danbury? Always been a course I enjoy.

Simsbury Farms holds my heart

Timberlin in Berlin is the place for me.

I played Keney Park yesterday afternoon. I'm pretty sure I've never seen more undulating greens anywhere in my life.

Gillette ridge , Timberlin , Lyman orchards player and Jones. Hunter in Meriden is fun

Played tashua and whitney in the last 2 weeks. Both in good shape. Was surprised at the condition of western hills in waterbury. In my youth was a total beater, but was ok or better three weeks ago.

Not sure if this thread is still going but I played Richer in Danbury earlier this week. I've played in an outing there for the last few years and it was in the best shape I've ever seen it. It's not going to be pristine but definitely worth playing if it isn't too out of the way to get too.

I was out at Richter earlier this month too. Was my first loop there. It's a big, bold layout, and in good shape.

Richter Park was 1.5 hours away and well worth the drive.
