Driver loft advice

Need some advice. Right now I have a Titleist 910 9.5 driver and 910 15.5 3 wood and in the market for a new driver. I have the same shafts on both clubs and consistently hit the 3 wood very very well, but hit the driver well maybe 50% of the time. It can be very frustrating. I'm going to purchase the ts2 and was hoping someone could recommend a loft. Not sure if I should go with the 10.5 because I hit the 15.5 3 wood so well? any advice.

I had a 913 D2 in 9.5 going into this year but I upgraded to the TaylorMade M3 which I've now had for a few months. I had the 913 for a few years prior so I was quite used to it.

I stepped up to 10.5 in the M3 and I like it. I'm not sure if 1-deg of loft really matters that much but I wanted to start hitting shots that launched higher and carried further. Along with a better swing, I think that extra degree does help a bit. I went with a low-spin shaft to control spin and flatten the ball-flight. Overall, I couldn't be happier. It's an incredible club. I really do think it's a notch above what I had. My driving has really improved as a result of all the changes.

Since all these new drivers are cutting down on spin I don't think it's bad to err on the high side with loft. After all, there are always shaft options out there that will cut down excess spin.

Also, don't get the TS2 without giving the TS3 a try. I was a D2 guy but I hear a lot of folks like the TS3.

I went from titleist fanboy to cobra love. Hit the F9 and TS side by side and ... just give it a chance.

Re loft, I'm a slower swinger, but bc of my swing and AoA, I'm right on the line bt whether I get more yardage out of higher or lower lofts.

I think it takes trial and error.

If you're under 80mph, you definitely need the extra loft. If you're over 95, the lower. Barring extremes.

Anywhere in the inbetween range could go either way. Just gotta hit em all!

I'd suggest getting some numbers and letting those be your guide. I'd always played a 10.5° since I was a kid but went in for a fitting mainly just to get mine - no intention of changing anything - and learned my launch angle was crazy high with it; like 18°. Wound up switching out my 10.5° TS3 for the 9.5° dialed down with a different shaft. That kept me around 12-13°.

Would have never even considered a lower loft till that happened. Numbers won't lie!
