You can look through the MOI ratings yourself here...https://www.golfworks.com/iron-head-mpf-ratings/a/870/

A quick check shows the Mizuno JPX EZ forged have what seems like the highest MOI. These heads are pretty tall though so the CG is kind of high, negating some of that ease of use. My personal recommendation is the Miura PP-9003 Passing Points. Really nice and forgiving forged irons with great feel and some bounce to reduce digging.

The Titleist CB line is very much an iron in this wheelhouse. The CB from 716 onwards tends to have high MOI—close to the prior year’s AP2.

However, there isn’t a lot of swing assistance, and visually, it’s a smaller iron. But it’s a one-piece forging, rather than multimaterial. So you’d have to hit them and see if they make sense for your game.

Titleist CB 716 & 718 line are not one piece forgings.

716 is multi material in 2-7 iron.

718 is hollow (small cavity behind the face), welded faces, and multi-material in 2-7 iron.

+1 for the Passing Points. I keep coming back to these clubs. I have them shafted in lightweight graphite and I play them every so often, whenever my gamers are feeling sluggish.

They're pretty beat up now and I'm thinking of going with the CB-301 or 2008 as a replacement.

Never had a low spin issue with either head. There is nothing about them design-wise that makes the Srixons particularly low spin. Maybe a lot of ‘pickers’ out there taking the spin off. I hit down pretty firmly so have never seen them fail to stop quickly on a green.

I'm more of a "sweeper/picker", and have not noticed any issues with spin in my 785's.

785 spun more for me than 765 on monitor. When I hit 745 spin was fine. I had bullet balls with the 765. 785 and 765 still spun much less than AP2 and iBlade for me.

No spin issues with the 745's for me. I stop them all the way up thru 4 iron. If anything, the spin becomes a problem in windy conditions that can eat up shots directly into the wind.

Back to this thread's topic - 745's are solidly in this category. Amazingly easy to hit for their size, very forgiving across the face. I'm a decent ballstriker, but still only an 11HC, and have never had an issue hitting these irons.

So I think we've established "people are saying" z7s are low spin is one person :-)

z745er here and never saw any issues and think they are about as 'forgiving' an iron as anyone should need. Grab a set and enjoy OP.

I never knew this, did some digging and it's 100% correct.

I have caught grief for pointing this out as well. Titleist made this change in an effort to help the CB “keep up” with competitors. And they’re still nice irons. But as far as I know the 714CB is the last true one-piece forging in this lineup. Great clubs too.

The 745’s fit the bill for the OP. As good a CB as you will find. All of the Srixon CB’s in this series over the past several years are excellent. I’ve heard the JDM-only z725 that came right before the 745 was a great iron, but the 745 looks better IMO.

Totally agree on the Maltby DBM/TE...they’re a full club shorter than my Ping i200s but the feel is so addicting that I will probably play them the rest of the season...very reminiscent of the Razr X Forged irons I had years ago which were also mentioned. The Razrs did spin less and flew lower/further.
