G400 MAX to G410 PLUS .... back to G400 MAX
Soooooo.... I have been on the Callaway driver bus since as long as I can recall. I would try others (LOTS ), and always find a Callaway model that fit the bill best.
Off the top of my head, here's what I've had in that slot recently (400 Max, Rogue SZ, Epic SZ, Big Bertha- black matte?, G30 LST, XR SZ, Big Bertha-navy?)
Anyway- the 400 MAX has been firmly in the slot since late Fall 2018, and I have NEVER had as many good driving rounds.
FFWD last week: Out of no where, My driver swing goes sideways... So how to I attempt o fix it? Order a 410+... ha. Anyways, I get the head and can't wait to do a direct head-to-head test vs. the 400M. What?! a different adapter?! UGH... FFWD: Order an adapter and shaft-up the exact same shaft I have in my 400M for the 410+... By now this is getting pricey.
Shaft it up, and it comes in at like C8. My current 400M plays at D3. FFWD: Order another 410 weight ( I decide on a 12 gram: that'll give be plenty - There's already a 14 gram on it). It arrives, and it comes in at D6 --- Not bad, but a little heavy ---- Grind off some weight from the new 12 gram I ordered --- Making it 8 grams.. and viola it's now D4 and I LIKE it. Also had to loft the 410 up a click foe some reason to get the most out of it (400 10.5, 410 11)

After all that, the verdict is:
- Pretty Similar numbers - 410 more muted sound than the 400 - 410 I would say more forgiving, but hat could just be the "new toy" factor (concentrating more) -
Soooooooooooooooooo - both great clubs - Wasted time and money, but now I have anew driver
