Will be in the area this weekend and looking to get out and play somewhere around or in Cleveland. Any suggestions in any price range?

    Top tier in my opinion:
    Fowler's Mill in Chesterland
    Boulder Creek in Streetsboro
    Manakiki in Wickliffe
    Sleepy Hollow in Brunswick.
    Have fun and enjoy Cleveland!

golfclevelandohio.com has a nice top-20 list. Based on the places I have played, cannot really disagree with much of discussion. Haven't played the Quarry, which is technically a bit of a hike from Cleveland, but for my money Fowler's Mill would be my choice every day of the week.

Pine Hills in Hinckley is nice, and recently played Grey Hawk in Lagrange. Is a drive out there, but was definitely worth it.

First off, Boulder Creek is a great course but you will play a 6 hour round and I am not exaggerating that. Fowlers Mill will play much faster and is as good as any other public course. Sleepy Hollow another good course slow play, I prefer Manakiki. A hidden gem (tad of a drive East) would be Sugarbush, cheap fast and just a great overall course. Closer to Cleveland I recommend Stonewater (semi private) or Little Mountain.

Wow. If they rank the Quarry no. 1, then either public golf in Cleveland is terrible or the website manager has no clue. The Quarry is not a good golf course IMO, in any way. (I have played both Fowler's Mill and Avalon Lakes a while back and found them to be quite good.)

For anybody interested, a bunch of WRXers will be playing Saturday September 14th around Cleveland. Probably the Quarry or Hawk's Nest but not totally decided yet. There is a thread in the Regional board.
