Miura LH blades

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My plan is to invest in some Miura LH Blades (see picture) pnmfe87knwti.png

and wonder if anyone has experience from these blades or other Miura blades for lefties? I think there have been LH Tournament Blades and LH black blades (limited) available on the market as well. I am considering to wait for a new Miura LH blade release since these will probably be a keeper and will not replace them for many years. All opinions to the Miura LH blades are welcome.

I worked at Miura Golf Inc. as their club maker for 10 years and those are the the most beautiful blades I have ever seen or worked on. They are slightly larger than the RH Tour Blades and are a bit more forgiving....I hounded them for the whole time I was there to make me a set in RH.....No go!! If you can get a set for a reasonable price....grab them....you will never regret it!!

Had them a while ago. Definitely had the uniquely powerful miura forged feel. However I didn't like the sole grind from 5 iron on up ...I prefer something deeper and with more bounce. Ended up replacing them with cobra s3 pros.....quality forging, not on par with miura, but grind is more important to me than pure feel. (recently replaced the S3 pros as I only get in around 10 rounds a year now, and need something more forgiving)

In memory LH only got offered the tournament blades. I went and purchased a set of Y grinds, which are simliar to the mb001. Best feel and forgiveness compared to blades from other brands. I toss them in for the winter season due to their low launch and good ball speed. In the summer I put 0311t in my bag for the higher launch.

Titleist blades are a waste of time, clicky and terrible off the centers. Mizuno is better than titleist in feel but again still behind miura.

Thanks for great input. I think the model Tournament Blade is around +10 years old. I wonder how much has changed to new Mizuno/Titleist since then performance-wise...

I now ordered Miura LH Tournament Blade for 1250 GBP 5-PW after like 2-3 months research for LH blades..

Edit: a new Miura LH blade is expected within near future according to Miura (no release date announced) so I will await that. Clear and fast communication by Miura’s support btw.

Edit2: changed my mind (again) and just ordered CB 801. Mainly because of two things - more long term playability during periods with less golfing and that I don’t manage to wait for the new Blades ?

i love my cb's i hit a low ball so needed a little help. been playing well with them. dont see a reason to change other than the club hoe in me getting antsy.

Yes maybe not that big difference - maybe the Y-grind (probably not worth upgrading only for that no). Sounds promising anyway since these are my first Miuras.

Nice! I really enjoy them. Just one issue is that the painting on the heads (the numbers) have worn out after a few rounds but hopefully Miura customer support handle this well. Cool head covers.

Thanks, those head covers are magnetic so hopefully I won't lose any of them...... I did notice the paint issue on some of the wedges but that doesn't bother me at all......

I have these, bought the heads on EBay from a distributer in the US. Managed to get 3-7 in blades and 8-PW in the cavity backs.

I am off 13 and have never hit blades before, was a bit nervous about how I’d go but they are in my bag now and I have settled in well.

Off the tee they are truly magnificent to hit, butter soft and quiet. When middled you do not remember the strike. Mishits are not painful.

the ball flight is something different - low bullet like launch then a towering finish. They land like butterfly feet even with the long irons.

they are surprisingly long distance wise.

By comparison the CBs are almost as soft, but somehow aren’t as rewarding to play.

In the bag they are nothing short of stunning, pictures don’t do them justice they are that pure.

Just got my box yesterday!

I’ve met with 1025 steel back in the day of the orginal Hogan golf clubs and got myself a set of V-Foil Tourney VIP 1025 CM. Wanted something more forgiving after few years and opted for Mizuno MP-60s. Since then I’ve gone annually to demo days of all the different brands there is. But honestly never really found anything that compared to the feel of Mizuno blades. Gone thru a couple of them, tested the 68s, 69s and MP-4s. Two of the later been in my bag for more than 10 years, I think.

I’ve been a fan of the exclusive Japan handcrafted irons as long as I’ve played Mizuno and since missing out the copper-head MP20 box, I got a head-up on these beauties in the Facebook and could not resist to pre-order.

Just been out on the range with them, I found them to be impeccable. Really solid, slightly harder on half shots than the Mizzies, different method of forging and material. But a touch more buttery on flushed full shots. Basically over tho moon on the clubs.

A Miura 3-6 CB, 7-PW blade combo is my halo set.

The Jack's in lefty would be glorious.
