Golf course suggestions (to play) during Masters Week near Augusta, GA

What golf courses within 50 miles or so of Augusta has GolfWRX members played during the Masters tournament? I would like to hear options from Atlanta to Columbia, SC. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I got in touch with Reynolds, during Masters week 5 courses are open to public - Oconee, Great Waters, National, Landing, & Preserve. About $240 to $350 depending on which course and which days.

I set a tee time at Forest Hills Golf Course in Augusta for 4/6/20. Now for time to fly by!!!! :D

None of those Reynolds courses are worth $300 of your hard earned money. Except Creek Club which you wont get on anyway.

Check out Harbor Club on Oconee. It should be about half.

Suggest you consider the Monticello course at Savannah Lakes Village. SLV about 40 miles west of Augusta. Is in South Carolina, but right on the border. There are two courses--both are excellent. The Monticello course hosted a Hooters tour event for 14 years. They have a "Play the Lake" special for 100 dollars during Masters week ( that might be an all day fee ). There are very affordable accomodations at nearby Hickory Knob State Park and Resort with both lodge rooms and cabins available. Have fun--and I'm SURE you will!

I'm a member at Forest Hills. It is in great shape but for other looking elsewhere...you won't go wrong with Monticello. Best deal around by far. Amazing track.

Honestly, those are ANWA tickets. We are going on vacation this year during Master's week (Locals). I went the last 3 years and after seeing Tiger win it, I'm good for a bit.

Yeah, this winter has been a bit harsh. I still haven't hit balls yet. I'm planning to start up maybe this coming weekend or the following. Looks like a bit of warmer weather coming. Sheesh!!!!

Has anybody played The River Golf Club in North Augusta? Thoughts on the course? We booked this for our trip. Pretty steep price for Masters week ($200), but like that it is in close proximity to Augusta.

It's been 15 years since I played it, so can't speak on current condition. But I always enjoyed the layout, and it will be nice for you to play and still be close to ANGC.
