Ken Green article - Incredibly tough read.

Recommended Posts

I remember him from when I was a kid.

In American parlance, many would regard me as a bleeding heart liberal or some kind of social justice warrior, but I have zero thoughts of reform for adults that perpetrate this kind of s**t on kids. Bring on some mob justice.

If you have kids, go give them a hug after reading this story.?

Dear lord, I just don't even have the words. How in god's name could one person have gone through so much in a lifetime. It's hard to fathom how humans can get to the point where they could do those things to another human.

Yes. Yes yes yes.

There is another circle. A hotter circle. A special place. No doubt in my mind he’s there. Doesn’t matter the deities name , we’re talking good and evil. Pure evil. Unless you’ve encountered it you don’t know it’s true nature and power. It walks among us. Mans law has no leverage over it.

This discussion came up at a dinner party not too long ago. Very prim and proper type shindig. The question was posed “ could you sleep at night after killing another human “. Set in the idea of war or self defense .... etc.

I kind of went numb for a moment. Didn’t really hear others answers and I blurted out “ better most likely “. Silence. And strange looks. To which I said “ you never know what you can do until you have to. Once you’re in that place an make that choice to survive , the peace will come once the struggling stops. “ and of course by peace I mean relative to the hell that has been Imposed on you. Of course the preferred situation is to not have to make that choice. Still blank looks and stares. I just got up and left. Again. Till you’ve been there. You don’t know. I’ve been to the edge. And walked back by something stronger than me. My hand to the heavens it’s true.

Hug your kids. Know their surroundings , it’s your job. Kids earn real privacy when they pay taxes and move out. And when you get that feeling of “ stranger danger “ listen to it. No matter who it is. And god help the mortician who has to sew up the guy who attacks a kid I know. He’ll never forget what he sees. Reason number 2001 why i can’t be a cop.

A child no less. Absolutely sickening. I feel so for Ken Green and I also entirely get what he said about being worried his friends will treat him differently. How could you not? No punishment is enough for what was done to him.

Very hard read

I cannot believe what KG has endured as a child and adult. Incredibly savage.

Best wishes to him for a mental recovery of some sort, I wish him well. Nobody deserves the hands he has been dealt in life

By the time I had read the stuff that happened to him as a kid, I had forgotten what happened to him as an adult. I can't think of anything worse than losing a child. Poor guy (and poor kid too). Jesus.

When a man is getting better he understands more and more clearly the evil that is still left in him. When a man is getting worse he understands his own badness less and less.

It isn't being a 'bleeding heart liberal' to think child abuse is vile and perps should be shot.

That is being a decent human being.

Yeah, knowing what he went through as an adult was bad enough. To hear of a childhood like that is horrifying.

OMG. That was a really hard read. The amount of S this guy went through even as a adult was bad enough, but as a kid? I just can't imagine, not in a million lifetimes.

Being a parent s*** like this pisses me off so much (and even if I wasn't a parent it would piss me off). I cant even imagine the horrors he went through and hope he finds peace one day.

couldn't even finish the article, incredible that he's coming forward and talking about it. It makes you sick to your stomach to read through it.

I think the gut reaction is to feel angry and powerless but there's charities that work to fight against child abuse.

We're all successful guys who are fortunate enough to chase a ball around every weekend - I'd encourage you to channel that anger into supporting organizations who are fighting for kids who are in much worse situations than our own.

I just donated $100 to https://love146.org/ which is one that i've researched previously and has a great mission. Find one that's compatible with your values and help out

I've always liked Ken Green. He has endured more than any person should ever had to, especially as a little kid. So sad.

Wow. Just I am sorry for what he went through (that can't even begin to describe anything) and how he has to courage to live his life. They should make a movie about this. People don't want to admit stuff like this happens. Need to bring it out more and better awareness and most importantly for victims to find some support not just from people but society as well.
