Who has made the move from an M3 to an M5? Glad you did?

I'm about 100mph swing and 240-250 carry with the M3 9.5 stock stiff. Would love to hear some opinions.

Timely post. I have a M3 and just got a M5 yesterday. Hit the range for 1.5 hours hitting both and rotating between 3 shafts. All in all I noticed no visual distance differences between the two heads. The differences I saw were between shafts I was swapping in and out.

There were only 2 differences I really saw between the 2 drivers.

1. M5 seems more fade biased than M3. I was pushing more shots right with M5 but it could have been my swing.

2. M5 is super muted in sound compared to M3...or at least with the heads I have. M5 was almost stealth with no sound.

Last difference is really just visual and subjective. I prefer the look of the M3 but I know most people lean the other way.

I'll put in more time with both drivers tomorrow and then this coming weekend. Still not sure which one will stay in the bag but I do love the M3.

I had the M3 tour and tried the M5 tour and regular M5. I used the exact same shaft and results showed higher spin for the M5 tour and regular so didn’t switch. Ended up changing to Epic Flash SZ with my same shaft Devotion 7. I will say the M5 tour did look tiny even compared to the M3 tour.

I couldn't hit the m3 to save my life. My m5 is money. Not sure what it was, probably my head.

From what I saw when I tried the M5, The only real difference I saw was higher launch. 9*(on club) M5 vs 8.7* (digitally lofted) M3. Distance similar.

My M3 is hot melted so sound is very similar. I didn't notice any difference in forgiveness. I am still using my M3.

If someone gave me a M5 I would use it over the M3 but there is not enough of a difference to justify the price.

I have been tempted to sell my M3 and buy the M5 but I have scratches on the top of my driver(don't notice them) so it would not be worth much. TM drivers just are not worth much after a year old.

Next year I might be tempted more.

I have had m5 and m6 heads this year and i'm still playing my m3. i cant get over the feel and sound of the m3 head. I didn't give them a fair chance tho, maybe less than 5-10 swings with each, said nope and got rid of them
