Ping Glide 3.0 wedges: In-hand photos, comparison pics

Nice! They match up well with the i210’s.

The Glide 3.0 eye 2 wedge looks great, a beautiful updated version of the classic. . I think the obvious next question is can or will Ping release a full set of irons in this updated eye 2 design? The eye 2 is one of if not the most successful iron designs of all time. I would think a modern rendition of this classic design would be well accepted if it is of any comparison to this Glide 3.0 eye 2 wedge. Interested to see other thoughts on this.

I agree. I love the look of the lines in the cavity. The Eye 2 is just crazy and frames the ball so good. I am going to have to try them.

Missing the ES grind after seeing the Eye2. Yikes.

I thought Ping wasn't going to make grips any longer and instead just have Golf Pride grips? But this wedge has the Ping grips on it again. Seems odd.

You are either going to love it or hate it.......the OG hi-toe. Looks like they really raised the COG on these.

I would love to see a head to head comparison between the newest Callaway PM grind and this new eye 2 glide 3.0

The PM has more groove and milling surface.

I considered ordering a PM in 56*, now I'm just more confused.

Didn't ping offer proprietary wedge grips that were longer than standard.

While I get the idea of having a longer grip on a wedge, I never understood why they put a rib on them? If there is one club I hate a ribbed grip on it's my high lofted wedge, which I often open and close depending on the shot.

Ping seems to have an infatuation in general with ribbed grips. Not my cup of tea.

I don't like the big indentation between hosel and leading edge

I assume there will be a Stealth version of the new line? Anybody know when?

so, looks like next season will be expensive -- 610 MBs, glide 3.0 gap and sand and the glide 3.0 eye2 for lob...sigh.

Like all things PING - if you hit it well the ugliness starts to fade.

In about a year I would guess. I believe that's when Stealth followed.

I'd like to see a copper-plated version;)

Never owned a Ping wedge but everything I test from them really impresses me. Loved the G410 plus driver, fairway, hybrid and Blueprints, if these wow me like the rest of the stuff I will swap over from the tried and tested Vokeys

they both look great but the eye2 is just so radical and with the lines seems to square the ball better IMO. Looks like they might feel better too. The cavity seems like there is less of it and more mass behind the sweet spot. Could be just my eye.

For those getting the Eye 2, would you use it only as a wedge around the greens or would it be for anything X yards and in?

Does anyone know if they will be offered in a Lefty version?

I didn't see information on lefty on the ping website in the specs; you can pre-order online in lefty though, appears only the ss and, from what I saw no 60 degree which was odd; but that may be specific to that store. I'd be shocked if there wasn't a 60. Didn't see any option for the eye2 yet but usually Ping is pretty good so we will wait and see.

Love the fact they tapered the hosel neck and should give additional clubhead feel. Can't wait!

Curious if this is an indication that there won't be an iBlade 2.0. In the past, Ping's the new wedge design was a glimpse into what was coming up for a new iron. Original Glides led to iBlades. Glide forged led to forged Blueprints. These look like a match to the i210 irons, with the finish and larger elastomer inserts. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
