Titleist VS. Mizuno for 2020

Who will have the better irons in 2020?

Both, comes down to which you prefer the looks and feel of. Personally, I like the MP20 over the 620. All in theory at this point, though.

I will only comment on the quality. Mizuno forgings are known to be superior, and have been for some time. 20 years ago Titleist had an argument, these days it isn’t close. Mizuno all the way.

Last iron I liked from Titleist was DCI 981. Mizuno dominates my bag now.

Try more Titleist irons or learn to hit the ball better, they’ve had plenty of great feeling irons.

I wish Titleist felt like the Mizunos as I tend to hit them better and they fit my eye a little more.

Will go for Titleist all way (irons, wedges, utility, metal woods) - one of the reasons is that they have better left hand offerings (all models for fitting etc.)

I like the style and finish of the new Mizuno MP-20.

If you are a lefty, it isn't close....Titleist.

2020 will be a great year for upgrading!

Mizuno fan boi here, love the MP20s (remind me of MP29s), but I'm not ready to move off my MP5 or MP15s yet..

I’d say Mizuno thru 2025, then I’ll re-evaluate.

Titleist offerings are gawd awful this year. If the HMB looks good from address through the whole set then it alone gives Mizuno the win.

Titleist and Mizuno are my favorite 2 companies.

The 190 was good but TS3s are in the bag... Can’t wait to try the new irons from both.

Call me in the minority but I think the 620CB looks great with that semi-raw look to it. However, the MP-20 HMB is currently a much better option for my waning handicap.

Mizuno makes a very high quality product. But for me, I don't care as much for the dull marshmallow thud that Mizuno's tend to produce. It's like every shot feels the same, no matter the strike, and perhaps that's part of the reason why so many amateurs think they feel better.

Feel is very subjective. The construction of the club doesn't = better or worse feel. That's a marketing ploy.

I've always preferred the feel of the Titleist forgings, like the MB, over the Mizuno's. But that me, someone else is different. Just like some people like the feel of an AVX while someone else likes a ProV1x.

In terms of offerings throughout the bag, I think Titleist is a much stronger brand than Mizuno. If we're limiting to just iron sets, I think it's pretty much a tie.

And the new Titleist iron “family” idea is a total imitation of the MP18 family that could be blended in easily. Plus they look a little too busy and gimmicky compared to the MP20 range.

Mizuno irons for sure. Woods... Both have stellar options. I have thoroughly enjoyed gaming the st190 series and have had great success. Vokey's and Mizuno wedges... As far as retail I don't see much difference other than Vokey offering more grinds which gives it the edge but what with a grinding wheel you can make pretty much any wedge perform. It does say something though when you have non-contract players majority gaming mizzy irons but also go Vokey raw or tour issue in wedges. I think mixing the two would be the best result

I’m interested in MP20 and HMB. In the process of putting MP5 into play and they are brilliant. The CB and MB from Titleist look great, the other irons look disgusting unfortunately. Looks aren’t everything, but they’re something.
